Hey guys, With the Pokegym much larger than it used to be, I figured that I might revive an old classic from a couple years ago: Iron Chef (Pokemon edition). What is Iron Chef? It's a semi-parody of the classic TV cooking show. The catch, though, is that instead of using surprise food ingredients, the contestants make decks out of selected card "ingredients." Usually I hosted these as single-elimination tournaments, rather than as staggered individual competitions. Why is this something worth considering? Simple: Pokegym loved Iron Chef! It gave players an opportunity to be creative during the off season, and was an opportunity to win some neat prizes. Why do I want to bring this back? Because I enjoyed judging these (hence the title). I have always enjoyed deck theory and deck tinkering much more than actual playing, so seeing what other people experiment with is a pleasure. So...Now that the uninitiated know a little about this, and now that those who previously competed remember...Who would like to compete in one of these competitions? If there's enough interest, I fully intend to host one of these. Just let me know in this topic.
