Texas, Oklahoma, and where ever; there will be a "Pre-Worlds Tournament" on August 14, 2004 at "Creative Gift Baskets" in Plano, Texas. The "Start Time" will be at 10:45am. Registration begins at 10:00am, sharp!!! Entry Fee is $5.00.

This is a Modified Format Constructed Deck Tournament. Those of you that would like to test play your "Worlds Deck" this is the time to do it. If you would like to play against "World Class Pokemon Players, this is the tournament that you need to be in.

Rules for this "Pre-Worlds Tournament" are below:


This is NOT a Sanctioned Tournament.

We will play "Age Modified Swiss Rounds".

Players will be able to change decks in between rounds or games, if they like. (This will give the Players going to Worlds a chance to play test different decks.)

If time permits, we will play "Match Play" rounds.

The "new rule changes" for Worlds will be in effect. (See other posts for new rule changes.)

30-minute rounds for single game matches & 1-hour for "Best 2 of 3" game matches.

Master Professor Birch will be the TO and Head Judge.

Prizes will be determined by the attendance.

Every player that is not going to Worlds will receive a FREE pack of Pokemon Cards for helping these to play test their decks.

Hey Richard, could you maybe change it to the 15th? It would be my birthday then, we would not interfere with the good revenue they get from Yu-Gi-Oh and YuYu Hakusho, and plus...

I wouldn't have to miss out on it due to band! >=|

So, just give the 15th a little bit of thought, eh? I think you'd get better attendence all-around from people, namely me =p

............Please??? I would so love to play, but I wouldn't get to go...besides, you would get every single player who regularly goes to CGB on Sundays anyways. =(

The date and time is set in stone. There will be no changing of the date or time. Sorry, but I can not please everyone.

I will have the "FireRed~LeafGreen" T-Shirts at the Pre-Worlds Tournament this Saturday at "Creative Gift Baskets". The tournament will begin ASAP after we register the players. There will be plenty of Boosters and Prizes for this tournament. It will give everyone a chance to playtest their decks a week before "WORLDS" at Orlando, Florida. :D

I hope to see you at this prep before "Worlds". The "FireRed~LeafGreen" T-shirts will sale for $12.00/each. :cool:
