At the risk of sounding foolish I was wondering if someone could tell me what the difference is between a sealed deck, booster draft, and prerelease? I looked over the rules but I failed to see where the three are different. What am I missing???

Hi there Nicole, hope to see you and your daughter at the SD Prerelease.
The Prerelease is the same as a sealed deck tourney, rules-wise...except that the cards used are new and (supposedly ) unavailable until AFTER the tourney. It's like a sneak peek at the new set.

I was looking over the pt&e website and was trying to understand the side events. So, there will be one prerelease with the TA and TM boosters, then the sealed deck which will be a different set of booster? And the booster draft? I don't think we'll do all of them.
We're also planning on going to the LA prerelease and City Championship since they aren't too far. Pokemon for the entire month of March, what fun!
Unfortunately Ashley is now in the 11-14 age group so I don't think she's going to be quite as lucky as she was at the Ruby and Sapphire.
