Wats up fella's ?? So after winning states I got the voucher to go to nats! So on thursday we flew to kentucky where my uncle lives, then friday we drove to ohio! (3 hour drive....) When we finally show up we go straight to the convention center. I met up with local friends from az, and I met a lot of people from the gym, bonslypwns, flygon999, etc... Then i met Krazy Kevin, haha he was a handful =D. Now down to the serious business. Before going to nats I had a few deck choices, I went with a all foil plox list, (beside 1 squirtle!) cause i was most familiar with it, and its a pwnege deck!! xD So on saturday the rounds start!!
(sorry i dont remember the names of the people I played)
Round 1
Plox v. Eeveelutions
He starts out with 1 eggsecute (bad spelling) no basic pokemon, and i get a perfect set-up.. I end up gettiung a gallade around turn 3 then knock out his only pokemon.

Round 2
Plox v. EmpoDos
This is were things start to go bad.. I get literally the worst start ever. I finally get a gallade going but i don't have energy to retreat my active.. So he keeps ice blading my gallade, then he goes for the double knock out but gets tails. I get 1 knock out , then somehow get a gardi set up... Here comes the worst part, he double warp points me, brings out his garados and gets 4 heads in a row on dragon rage from magic carp... =(

Lunch break!!!!!!!! (haha what a memory) Me and a few friends went to the subway down the street cause all the lines were packed inside, there was a um... Parade outside, a WEIRD ONE.. lol and i had to run from subway back to origins to make it on time!!
Round 3
so with my stomach aching round 3 begins!
Plox v. Empoleon (no surprise)
I start with ralts and 6 energy, no joke... I think i just was shuffling wrong for the last 2 rounds.. He gets call energy, gets claydol and 2 empoleons set up turn 3, and i basicly lose xD.

Ok so now im stressed out, I know i can't lose another match or Its impossible for me to make top.. During the break between round 3 and 4 I talked to Krazy Kevin and He showed me how he shuffled so i tried it the next round =)
Round 4
Plox v. Empoleon (not a surprise)
I shuffled a new way this time, and it worked!! I finally got the set-up my deck should be getting.. I get a pachi start with celios in my hand.. I go first, I attach and cff for my 2 ralts and baltoy. He splatters me =P.
I get a turn 2 claydol with the rare candy gardi, then i basicly get set-up and knock out his empoleons before he had enough energy on them to attack.
2-2.. 4 more games in a row to win =(

Plox v. Teched out empoleon (not a surprise..lol)
This was actually a very close game, He had meganium and it looked like a 1-0-1 line of togekiss.. I had a decent start, i got claydol around turn 3 and started setting up.. He was keeping the pressure on me though, he kept dual splashing my ralts and got a double knock out early.. Luckily i wasted 2 warp points so he would have to attach energy and retreat so he could only keep one empoleon set up at a time. (pro i know =) ) I finally get a gallade up and knock out his empoleon with the only energy on it. im feeling good now, but then he busts out a meganium searches for the 1-0-1 togekiss and serene graces me for 3 energy.. So he knocked out my gallade.. I was in trouble now, i had a scramble strength charm rare candy in my hand with 3 face down prizes, i needed the gallade.. I top deck a stevens advice and draw 6.. Boom gallade!! I knock out the only empoleon with energy, and he has to stall with togekiss letting me set up a gardi... I knocked out his togekiss with my gardi then before i knew it i was up on prizes by 1.. Then time got called, i had a gardi up and the max he could do was 100 with his empoleon.. Really close match.
3-2 I was getting pumped now!! I was letting all my friends, and new friends that i met that i was gonna make the biggest comeback ever! haha 3 more matches in a row to go!!

Alright this game was the first game i got a t2 gallade.. So i was pretty excited when i saw my hand, but i didn't want to show it or he might wager me.. I go first, i attach energy to my 1 ralts and pass.. He has a sentret and he has no energy.. My next turn i rare candy gallade use roseanne's to get a fighting energy sonic blade.. He gets the furret and he says if i have an energy i win, i showed him the energy and he scooped. I felt bad for him though cause the same thing happened to him the game before.

Alright, now this was one of the best matches I've played all day. It was a close match but when i drew my hand it was godly! Pachi, energy 2 rare candy, celios warp point, stevens advice.. I go first! I cff for my ralts and baltoy. He gets his set-up and then i find out that he has a tech jirachi ex.. Uh-oh.
My turn, I rare candy gardi, copy his celios to get a claydol and get my perfect set-up! I start preparing for the gallade and smash short his ralts. He retreats brings up the jirachi ex and locks me =/ I smash short him twice before he knocks me out. I bring up my gardi level up then i lock in a lake boundry with my blastiose delta on the bench!! It goes all down hill for him there. I bring down the jirachi for 2 prizes. Next turn I have a second gardi on the bench i attach strength charm and 1 hit his gallade. For the rest of the game it goes on like that, then i bring down for the last prize.
5-2 Woooooot.. lol at bonslypwns and Krazy kevin, when i told them i won 4 in a row.. they were like no way!!!

Ok this match my opponent was kinda weird, but i lived with it =D. We both start with a ralts, and his hand is really bad. I have roseanne's celios and thats all i needed.. Eventually i set up a claydol and i kept retreating my ralts that were about to get knocked out from smack!! (lol!) It took me 4 cosmic powers to finally get a rare candy, then i get the gardi and psychic lock his 2 ralts. He ends up getting a gallade with 1 energy on it.. I top deck the double rainbow and retreat knock out his gallade with my gallade and win!
6-2 NO WAYYYASIDJFAOISJFODIAJFOISDJFIOSDJ!!!!!!!!!! I made top 32 by winning 5 matches in a row! I was so proud of myself, and everyone else couldn't belive it! Yay me! (lol i was the last 6-2 to make it. 29th)
All the 6-2 in seniors made it, along with 3 5-3. (cody!!)
After a long day and a really bad headache I leave at around 10:30. ( I was to tired to do the mutant draft) I'll tell you what there was so weird people there, dressed up in costumes but it was a fun experience lol. We got back to our hotel.. (Hilton 7 miles away!! Cars rock!) And i ordered a Cheeseburger ate it watched comedians then fell asleep!

I met up with krazy kevin in the morning, got my deck back and talked about match-ups with him.. And waited for the pairings. When the parings went up, I found out that i had to play the number 3, Clint armstrong.. People warned me and said he was 7th in the nation or something =X I was scared..
Game 1

The first match-up was a really close game.. I got my claydol around t3 , and he stalled me out with baton pass and holons castform, which was a good plan i guess =/.. Time was running low so i had to make a move, I had a lake boundry strength charm in my hand with the gardi set up on the bench and another gallade coming so i figured I was fine, (and i had scramble energys too) So i knocked out his furret, then he knocked me out with gallade, then i knocked him out with gardi.. The game went back and forth.. But it finally came down to when i used wager, with my gardi active. After the match he let me know that he had a strength charm in his hand for the knockout with lakeboundry before i used wager.. I won RPS, and got the level x off of it.. It was the only thing that saved me. When i played the level x down, he was like no way, So lucky. After that brought down for the win!
Game 2
This match was actually really bad. I had 3 basics with nothing at all.. And my deck was being mean.. (i hate it when a deck works perfect before a tournament then it stops working.. lol) He won that one..
Game 3
With about 25 minutes to go it was on! I don't remember this game much, but we both got a t2 gardi and it was basicly back in forth knockouts untill he forgot to attach an energy which lost him the game.. I felt really bad because he started to break down.. I ended up killing his gallade and then time ran out, i was up 2 to 3 prizes, and since he didn't draw his card he wasn't able to finish his turn.
Ok now im really excited.. My first time in an outside event and I'm top16 at nationals!!!

Ok I'll cut to the chase here, both of these games were just horrible for me.. I basicly got 1 basic and 6 energy both games.. The judge said i made every right move, i just had nothing to do.. I was completely unlucky.. But oh well top16 for my first major event is awesome!! I got my box, and walked away with a smile on my face.
My first big tournament and i got top16! Thats big!! After the tournament, we drove back to kentucky played some pool then slept for the early flight in the morning.
