Question about capturing the legendary dogs on fire red...

I know that your starter decides what legendary dog you get, so i chose squirtle(IMO best pokemon EVER!!!) so i could get raikou. well i know that you have to beat the elite four and then he will be out in the grass..Any suggestions on how to find him and capture him?? thanks so much!

It doesn't just appear in grass. I found it in the water looking for Tentacool. Try a Breloom (Spore, False Swipe) and Octillery (Suction Cups for Roar) to make it easiest to catch.

Route 7 is the way to go. It's tiny and the Pokemon there are pretty low level, so Max Repel (lead character higher than random Pokemon but lower than Legendary) works pretty well. Pop a Max, walk in the grass till it runs out, fly to Celadon, walk back to Route 7, lather, rinse, repeat.

What you use to catch it is up to you. I hang on to my Master Ball for those guys because I hate chasing them, and you can catch any of the stationary Legendaries with enough patience and Ultra Balls.
