Professor Testing...

The document that has the information on it has been moved into the Tournament Organizer portion of the website. We're in the process of reviewing it for the next tournament season - we're probably not going to rerelease it at this time.

Here is an easy way to figure rounds, which should work for the Professor test questions and running tournaments as well.

This method uses multiples of 2, in other words 2 - 4 - 8 - 16 - 32 - 64 - 128 - 256 ...

Each of those multiples adds a round to your tournament. You must use the multiple of 2 that is equal to or higher than the number of players that you have in the tournament. That means, if you have 71 players you use 128, or if you have 32 players you use 32, or if you have 240 players (Nationals 15+!!!!) you use 256. Once you have your multiple of 2, it is a simple matter to count up the rounds needed. If you don't want to use fingers and toes, here is a chart:

2 = 1 round
4 = 2 rounds
8 = 3 rounds
16 = 4 rounds
32 = 5 rounds
64 = 6 rounds
128 = 7 rounds
256 = 8 rounds
