You are missing the point Ruiner. You are a Professor. As a Professor I expect you to follow the Professor Core Values. Part of that includes the following:

...it is unprofessional to publicly make negative comments about Pokémon, the Pokémon TCG, or Pokémon USA without first trying to resolve these issues with Pokémon USA via private communication. Negative comments made publicly only hurt the brand, the game, the company, and the organized play program.

Saying that our system has a huge glaring error on a public forum is negative regardless of motivation or intent.
Now I have gone out of my way to make it clear that I am interested in your feedback while gently reminding you that there is a more appropriate place to get it to us. If you would like to get into greater detail on why I don't appreciate the methods you are outlining I would love to do so on the appropriate forum.

A lot of times, the more passively something is mentioned, the more likely a majority of readers are to simply overlook or disregard it.

We were following this thread way before I apparently singled you out for your words. (Which by the way I just call "talking to people.":thumb
Give us some credit here. We do this for a living, assuming that we can't/wont recognize a good idea regardless of how passively it is mentioned or that we are not willing to make the difficult decisions just because we don't have a howling mob at the gate is not quite insulting but it's really close.

I think it boils down to data integrity. Because the match results are uploaded by the tournament software, pro points would need to be part of that upload; otherwise, you risk data inconsistencies. Like PeteD said, manual entry in not something they want. So, the only solution would be to make it part of the tournament results upload. But, that's not a "free" nor even a "low cost" enhancement. And, don't forget that you'd have to change other things as well (ie., database storage, nightly ranking recalculation, rankings web pages, World invitations announcements, legal issues).
