Knowing what we know now about voluntary search failures and the implication therein about what the Game "Knows" and "Doesn't Know", and then in seeing that the ruling referenced was made long before the Voluntary Search Failure ruling, I have to ask the following question.
Are the legal Pokemon evolution chains "known" to the Game? That is, if a Pokemon does not have a legal evolution, does the Game know at any point whether or not it does?
