Receiving a hacked Pokemon bad?

Just to add to the Bad Egg thing. If a Pokemon has EV's that total over 510, which is the cap, the Pokemon will be turned into a bad egg during the games hack check.

@Pikamaster: Yes, I did keep in mind that level 100 pokemon can still be EV trained. Thank you though for stating so, as it should have been mentioned in general for the subject.

@Vaporeon: Anything that hits 510+ will become bad news. Although 2 EV points will not be of any use to make a solid required 4 to make a +1 in a stat boosting, the left over two are for the "odd" EV's earned for battling against Pokemon that give +3 to increase the chances to make full use of error when calculating or to just "round up" or "round down" for the +1 stat boost to happen.

It is sort of like the Zelda games- it takes 4 heart segments to make a solid heart piece, thus they have "extra" heart pieces to assist in the finding enough to make 1 full heart container. Even though I do not recall which Zelda game has this, but the Link's Awakening game for the Gameboy (old, old, really old Gameboy game from the glory days for the first Zelda game to hit the hand held system.) : In order to gain a level up for your Sword, you need to collect 20 "shells" that are hidden through out the game. There is 23 of these "shells", increasing your chance to get at least the full 20 to make the up-grade to the Sword.

Um... no, and I don't know why you would think that.

It's technically possible.

It's very, very, very, very unlikely, but there's absolutely no reason for it to be impossible (that I know of).

I really want to be corrected if I'm wrong here because that would uproot a lot of my feelings about the way hacked Pokemon and the game mechanics work. >_>"
It is possible to RNG abuse a perfect Pokemon. I have plenty of perfect 31 IV Shiny Pokes in my game, all legitimately RNG abused.

I thought I should toss this in as a side thought to the scenarios I posted-

The Ditto could have been Rare Candied to level 100. But that would be to serve as the possible reason to just keep it from gaining any EV's to mess with the IV calculator for Breeding.

And, I can not find any other Pokemon that could be captured at level 100 besides that rare accurence in encountering the level 100 Magicarp in Platnium version of the games. (Unless that extends into Diamond/Pearl, but I do think the level 100 Magicarp thing is Platnium only.)

It says in the description that it was caught at 100, so no - it cannot be candied.

Ulti-

no no no no- I was stating for the scenario for the Ditto being captured at say level 56 or so, RNG'd for the IV's of course- then being stuck in the day care to hit level 100 or Rare Candied to be at level 100.

See post #15 and refer to scenario 1- I felt the need to add in the Rare Candied to be level 100 to exclude the EV's being need for a Ditto to be used for breeding and to keep the Ditto "as is" for IV caculator reasons to not have to keep track of the EV use/count to mess with the calculations to come up funny.
