Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Regice ex

Needs a better font. Also, neither Resistance makes sense. The proper Resistance for a Regice is none at all. In fact, the only proper Resistance for any Regis is the {G} Resistance on Registeel.

I see you got ahold of some blanks. Ok then.

1st thing I notice, IT'S NOT HOLO!! You have a holo ex blank but you should stay consistant and make the picture holo too. The attacks and powers are a bit broken too.

I agree with all the comments above when it comes to your attacks and resistances/weakness. However I must also comment that your pokebody is worded wrong and you have spelling and grammar errors all over the place. "Icy Chrystals" is the wrong color and the wrong font. It should read "Damage done to Regice-ex by your opponent's evolved Pokemon and Pokemon-ex is reduced by 40. (After applying Weakness and Resistance.)" I honestly think 40 is way too much to shield off, especially since it's not a steel or rock type, but an ice type instead. Get rid of the resistance.

Let me just give you my 2 cents on the making of the card itself:

I honestly think it's a decent try, considering it's your first card that you have made. You don't have the right text or font size for ANY of the font displayed on this card. Plus it looks like the attack effects text is bold instead of a regular font.

Let me show you my first attempt at making a card, and believe me it helps when you have the right font size/type. This thing was close to looking real, but it did not pass the test. Check it!

After lots of editing, correct placement, and more editing, I finally got it down. Ever since then, making fake cards has been nothing but a piece of cake. The hardest thing about making a card is coming up with the attacks and powers/bodies. Other than that, it's down hill from there. This is how the final version looks, and how it's supposed to look:

http://img314.imageshack.us/img314/4723/charizardstarfinal9up.jpg

It's attack effect text is just a point or two smaller than it should be, due to lack of room due to the power, but it's hardly noticeable, especially if you compare it to real cards as well as my newest fake cards (check out my signature for the links to the cards). However, everything has the right placement and the correct font and font size for everything else.

You also forgot the card's 9 digit ID, set number, and rarity symbol. Your set symbol is not in the right spot. The symbol should be 20 pixels to the left of the INNER right side of the border and the bottom of it is supposed to be lined up with the Nintendo/Pokemon copyright text.

Also your text placement is WAY off, and isn't in the right justification. Make sure that ALL attack effect text is JUSTIFIED (go to window, paragraph and select Justified) and that it's in 96% width. Same goes for Power/Body effect text, it's the same thing. Just draw a text box with the text tool so that each margin is 10 pixels from the edge of the light colored box (the inner part of the card). The effect text should start at the TOPMOST part of the first row of circles underneath the Pokepower/body/attack name.

Go HERE to get EVERYTHING you need. Here you can find the fonts you need, blanks, symbols and other accessories, and even a tutorial that was made from the master card creator, "The Fangking".

With HOURS and HOURS of editing and imporovement, I'm sure you will keep getting closer and closer to getting your cards to look just as good as mine. Good luck! :thumb:

his first try.
I think he did too. I was basically saying that it will take him just as long as me to perfect the cards he made. Heck I'm barely at the top/able to say I'm 100% accurate myself.

When I made my first cards, I spent hours upon hours editing them to make them right and they still weren't perfected until much later on. I think it mainly comes down to getting more experience the more time you spend playing around with the program.
