Long day to say the least. Had a lot of converted players at this Tourney. Rules & new game Play had to be reinforced many, many times. Rulings and penalties were also brought up and had to be inforced much more then at any of the other 3 Tourneys.
Having said that it was still a GREAT day of play and sporstmanship. This was the 1st CC where we went with the 45 minute 2/3 still. Went over BIG. Door prizes and extra boosters were plentiful. Actually gave out framed Target Promos, a framed Ex Bird collection(Rayquaza, Aero, Latios, & Latias) Japanese Deck Box's, Japanese sleeves and literally hundreds of other cards as well as a Promo collection binder
Started with 18, lost 1 after the 1st round. Showtime Collectables was an excellent spot, Pete and staff made us feel at home and we'd love to do it again, and will!
Patricia once again was locked behing closed doors inputting the results, pairings & Pop I.D. info. We did let her out once or twice though for that all important restroom break, but then it was back inside and lock the door. Hope all enjoyed and thanks once again for turning out. Better results to foolw but heres the jist of it for now

I hope everyone has enjoyed all the EXTRA"S Patricia, Ken and myself have been able to obtain for the players. We have really been able to give away alot of extra prize support thanks in part to the host stores as well as Patricia bringing in her Japanese stash of collector Deck Boxes and the very popular Original Japanese Pokemon Sleeves, Many Thanks. I hope everyone is enjoying the random games and give aways. Just seeing all of you show up and making that effort to travel to them all makes me wish I could do more. All of those who made the haul down to Tucson, THANK YOU :D
P.S. Be sure to Thank your parents for giving up there day and and giving you the chance to come down and play, way to go Mom's & Dad's...

Sat. Feb-28th is the 4th and final City Championship for the State of Arizona. Since attendance is been way down at the previos 3 events I expect to see" Everybody and their Mothers" at this one.

I bought a bunch of Girl Scout cookies for all the players at league. Well...........

Kenneth=BLizzard (a grown man) who at league decided to steal the Mint girl scout cookies from one of the younger players and proceeded to SHOVEL them as fast as he could into his mouth and LICK the rest so no one else could have any!!! TISK TISK MR. BLIZZARD :)
then attempted to do it again the following day at City ....ya think someone at his house would feed the poor guy!

There's just some people you can dress them up, "But take them out in Public". I think not.
Ken, you'll be sadly missed on Saturday but at least the rest of us will get to eat :eek:

Thanks to the store owner Pete @ Showtime, He was great.

Boston Market was also a nice change for lunch break (tired of all the other fast food joints) :)

We get 7 days rest and on to the PRERELEASE EVENT.
 
Remember people this is a SUNDAY Tournament, not Saturday. Since we have always held everything as far as Pre-Releases and Sanctioned Tourneys as well as normal league on Saturdays I want to make sure that everyone is fully aware of the chande for the Aqua/Magma Pre-Release. It is on
