Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Results from the Professor Test

I don't have to re-take the test for a while now (April I think), but perhaps someone can help me. If for some strange reason I don't pass the test, can I re-take the test right away, or how long do I have to wait until I can take it again?

Mike actually answered this same question for me in the OP Professor forums. I'll quote.

Here's how it works:

1) Pass the exam. The expiration date is set to 1 year after you pass the exam.

2) You do stuff, earn credits, and redeem them for stuff.

3) One month before you are set to expire, the exam opens up for you. You can take the exam at any point during that month.

3a) If you fail, you have to wait two weeks before you can take it again. Since you have a one month window, this means that you could take the exam twice in that window. If you do not pass the second time, you will serve out your term, and lose your Professor status on your expiration date.

3b) If you pass, your expiration date is extended 1 year.

If you expire from the program, all of your remaining credits will be redeemed for POP packs, to be redeemed at the beginning of the following month, even if you already have a pending order. If you get back into the program before the end of the month, you can get your points back, and cancel the order for POP packs.
Here's the link to the thread for your reference just in case... :http://forums.pokemon-tcg.com/showthread.php?t=1176

Hope that answers your question. :thumb:

Hmmm, that's odd because a friend who took it and failed said his email from POP indicated a month before he could do it again. I'll give him the good news (if taking another test is good news!)

I took my test since my expiration was on Oct 21st.

Scored 35 out of 40. And I liked the new questions, very cool. I also liked that there were more questions as it adds more variety :thumb: .

it took me like 6 times to get 20 questions right(i had been out for since neo 4, and got back in after TAvTM, but didnt go to laegue till after HL cames out) so, i am one of those prof.s who took it mulitple times lol.

Ahhhhhhh, South Texas can sit back and relax knowing that all of Team Cook have passed the exam. Team Cook Dad here to let you know that you're in good hands.

Team Cook Dad 37/40
Team Cook Anthony 39/40
Team Cook Sweet Mama 40/40

And NO, we didn't take the test at the same time, lol.

I thought I was doing good with 37/40. of course I should've known Sweet Mama would come along and put me in my right place.

i got 31 out of 40 -_-' ...

You scored 31 out of a possible 40.
Sorry, you did not pass the test. You are free to take the test 14 days from today.

wait.. isnt that 80%? ... *confused* only 9 wrong..

Nope, sorry. 32 is 80%. You were one short. But keep working at it, I'm sure you'll do it.

just wondering (havent taken the test yet the expiry is set june 2006) last time i took the test the only mistake i made was those which includes the judges decision for example what happens when u find out in the middle of the game that a player has 5 darkness energy in his deck. what will u do as a judge?

is there any link in which i can study the proper way to handle things such as this? ive only joined pokemon early this year. my friend told me that u guys still follow the WOTC guidelines but i cant seem to find a copy of such document

thanks

GymLeaderPhil answered this question in the op professor forums, and it is very useful. Here's a link to the official forums, and for security reasons, I cannot duplicate his post here.

The link: http://forums.pokemon-tcg.com/showpost.php?p=8950&postcount=4

All Professors should be able to access that link without an issue. If you are a professor and cannot access the op professor forums, it's best to email: [email protected] .

thanks, honestly i dont read much from the op-prof-forums hehehe although i have read some of those guidelines before i think a second look wud not hurt thanks a lot

I just retook the test, got 35/40. Three of my errors I agreed with, but two weren't right IMO. Where would I ask for these questions/answers to be looked at and maybe re-considered...?

You can shoot an email at [email protected] and be sure to provide the questions and answers that is in doubt and they should fix you up if there are issues...

Uhhhhh...since 'Pop and the rest of Team Compendium WROTE much of the test, what 'Pop suggested about contacting him is completely appropriate IMO...
