Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Riddle me this...

There once was a man who was Immortal. This meant, obviously, that he could not be killed what-so-ever. In this man's house was a portrait of himself. He loved it, but didnt bother looking at it. Why this is, no one knew. One day, however, one of his friends came over and found a skeleton with the man's clothes. His friend concluded that the skeleton that was lying on the floor was that of the man who lived at the house. How is this possible if the man was immortal?

You can eat all of them except MONTH?
All but MONTH start with "O"?

Both of those are valid answers, but I think you're looking for something different. Maybe you can give some more specific parameters?

3. The word "wrong"

9. Well there's lots of possibilities. OIL because it has a ryme, the other's don't. Month because it doesn't begin with O and it's not something tangible.

8. Getting tired of this one. Ask them what the other would say if he asked the way to Beautica, then take the other path. The truth teller will tell you what the liar would say, so you'd follow the other path. The liar would tell you the opposite of what the truth teller would say, so you take the other path.

Well if The League of Extrordinary Gentleman is any measure, I'd say the skeleton is of Dorian Grey and he looked at his picture. Though if that's the case it's not so much a riddle as an alusion.

Well lets see what you can do

1) Buried at sea
This elderly Newfoundland fisherman is on his deathbed and summons his 3 sons to his bedside. "Well boys, the time is near, and when I pass I'd like to be buried at sea." So the boys agreed. A few days after his passing, the local front page read, "Local Fishermen Were Shocked Today When Their Nets Brought in Patrick McRay in a Coffin, 3 Shovels and the Bodies of His Three Sons"

How did the sons die?

2) A boy was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the boy, "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50."

The boy looked around and saw no scale so he agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes he'll just say he weighs more or less.

In the end the boy ended up paying the man $50. How did the man win the bet?

3) Bill bets Craig $100 that he can predict the score of the hockey game before it starts. Craig agrees, but loses the bet. Why did Craig lose the bet?

4) FOUR is HALF of FIVE.
This statement is true, how?

5) A woman shoots her husband.
Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes.
Finally, she hangs him.
But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together.
How can this be?

have fun

I'm glad to know I started such a fun thread. :)

1.) Because they tried to bury the father under the sea...

2.) Either the man wrote every reasonable weight on the paper (which might had taken awhile) or the man wrote the words "Your exact weight" on the paper.

3.) Bill guessed any score in particular... He didn't say that he would predict the score correctly, just that he would predict it...

4.) IV=4. fIVe.

5.) Good one for me, I work in a photo lab. :) She took a picture of him. :)

3 is 0/0
He predicted the score BEFORE the game starts.
It's 0/0 at that point.

1. The shovels were a givaway. Good thing they died. The were dilutiing the gene pool...

yeah, your right. this riddle was based off of the movie (note to self: never do movie rip-offs ever again)

You all do know, of course, that Dorian Grey is actually the main character in an Oscar Wilde novel called "The Picture of Dorian Grey", right?

Unclebob: I started reading that book (via ebook), but got bored around ch. 3. Interesting idea, though.

A man wearing a hat and jacket walks up to a giant raging waterfall, takes off his hat, and then jumps all the way over it. Then (Edit:- without walking or jumping, or otherwise moving away from where he landed) he reaches down and picks up his hat. How is it possible for him to do this?
