Should I buy this Pikachu card?

Hi everyone,

I am happy to be a new forum member. I am from Canada and interested in Pokemon products. I have been collecting Pokemon toys since 2004 and Pokemon cards since 2010. There is a local Pokemon Collectors' Club where you can buy, sell, and trade cards. I don't have any rare Pokemon cards. My most expensive one is worth only $200 US.

There is a collector in the club who has a 2005 Japanese Gold Coin card of Pikachu. It's graded PSA 10.
So, the card is perfect. I found an image of the card from this website Pokegym. Below is a link for the image.

He wants to sell it to me for $10000 US. I haven't seen such a card on ebay since I started collecting cards in 2010. Do you think it's a reasonable price? I need your opinion. I don't want to get ripped off.

I highly doubt it. The down side it is Japanese, which isn't really that popular any longer to the majority of collectors. The upside is, it is PSA 10, but i doubt worth 10k. It is similar to the placement cards awarded at i think Battle Roads (it's been awhile since i looked at the ones my son won). So if the card was similar to ours (awarded at a Japanese event) there could be 100's of them. Gold just means the person came in first at the event (Silver would be second & Bronze third).
