Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Slow game play

In the game I just played, I was able to play the game just fine until near the end of the match, when suddenly, flash decides to take an incredibly long time to register one click. For example, when I played a Sage's Training, it took about 30 seconds just to play the card from my hand, then at least 45 seconds for EACH of the two cards I selected, then at least another 30 seconds to confirm that decision. After taking nearly 7 or 8 minutes on this one turn (I was put into an unusual situation where I knew I would have to do a lot of things to try to come out of it), my Adobe Flash Player crashed, disconnecting me from the game.

The game was working just fine before that, and then it all happened at once. I was losing at the time, so this situation and the unusual actions during my turn must have made me look like a jerk, a slow player, and a sore loser all at once to the person on the other side.

Has this or anything similar happened to anyone else?

hoenstly, the tcgo is my fave way to play the game, since ppl near my home dont really play and it allows for a lot of fun. But the progrm sucks, theres a lot of issues with lag, errors, etc, etc, and its not going to stop until pokemononline decides to fix it. so for now, the best i can tell u is deal with it :)

Yes, this happens to me fairly regularly.

I don't know whether to blame TCGO, my Flash player, my computer, my internet connection...

I was having a problem like this, and somebody told me your computer needs to have 4GB of memory, which I did not have. I upgraded my memory and it worked fine after that.

I was in the same boat. ._. That's why I asked here instead of on the TCGo forums.

Thanks! I will definitely try this when I get the chance.

I think sometime early in 2012 they're supposed to be releasing the non-beta version of the program, and there's a good chance there will be a downloadable client, which will fix these types of issues.

In the options, you can turn off all the animations, which will let the game run a lot smoother.

If you're still having issues try clearing your cache using a utility like ccleaner, and check for updates to flash, your browser ect. I've noticed some slowness, but i'm playing mostly on my netbook while in class (Dual core atom, 3gb ram, nvidia ion for flash acceleration) and i usually don't have an issue.

Having some of the features of the game turned off (holos, animations etc.) can help make the game go faster.
