Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

So I am diving head first back into the card game, last played in 2000.

I have been into pokemon since day 1 with red and blue and then bought cards day 1 they came out. I have some first edition Base set and then first editions of jungle, fossil, and team rocket. I made money off the cards in middle school and had quiet the collection(buying my own cards with money I earned) and even bought the special N64 to get the Cool Porygon card. I quit after Team Rocket(4th series) came out in 2000. Most of my friends had outgrown it and I only had people to play against online on IRC and Apprentice. I got into other things, but always picked up the latest in the main series of the handheld games.

Recently a friend has gotten back into the card game and I have decided to also. I asked my dad to mail me my old cards(I left them at my parents when I moved out years ago but I kept them safe.) And I have bought a lot of new cards since then, just random boxes, championship decks, theme decks, blister boxes, and tins, whatever I see that looks cool. I already have a collection on par with my old one and it hasn't even arrived yet.

I am more a collector than a player but I do love to play and would like people to play against online. I've downloaded Redshark and put in a couple of the Championship decks in it and learned the program. I can't wait for the Pokemon TCG Online to be up and running, in the beta of that and have played the hell out of it, I like how all the moves are automated, unlike Redshark which requires alot of knowledge.

Would anyone be willing to play a bit with me on Redshark? I'd need someone patient(re-learning the game). I also need someone who can understand if I need to drop a game at the drop of the hat(I have a 24/7 job), I try not to do this but it will probably happen.

Anyone wanna play with me or help catch me up on what sets to get, tips for organizing through my cards to find out whats playable/whats not, and if its okay to play with the new Top decks(I just wanna relearn the game for now and then try making my own decks again.

So, who wants to play ?

I guess i could show you around a bit. First of all, fi you want to play some games on redshark, mosey your way down here If you want to see some of the top decks, i would look at the strategy forum. There are other great websites like sixprizes Which is basically a bunch of articles people write.

I'm in the exact same boat as you. Just got back to it after years and Im trying to get a good deck back together and relearn all the new strategies.

do you have himachi? if yes what is your info?
