Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

So, I was Ebaying off some Pokemon cards when I noticed...

You could cut the raichu into 2 and if there is a black layer it would be 100% original.
However i don't suggest it.

now back on topic. The energy symbols seem to have the right shadows and reflections too. The imagae on pokebeach is much darker.

Why don't you scan us the back of the card too?

No need to cut or rip the card.
A look at the edge with a magnifying glass will show it.
Yeah, I have three nonholo Fossil Raichus, and I can see that they all have the thin dark layer in the middle, so WvsMC's card should too.

Fakes always seem to be just one layer rather than three like a real card, so I'd say this is the ultimate test.

Yep... I can sort of see through it. In fact, the border and where Raichu are the only parts that you can't see though it.

That's strange though... I've NEVER really traded with anyone (I traded a Blastoise for a Hitmonchan once when I was little. As soon as I realized my mistake, I just stopped trading >_>) and I've never bought any packs outside of retail stores. I guess I must have found it or something when i was younger.

I wish it was real. That would be very cool to own/sell if it was. I wish I was wrong, but I wanted to get the correct info based on what I thought.

looks like Drew gets props for spotting it.

Thanks, but I wish I wasn't correct. I was just basing it off of knowledge I have collected over the years from buying, selling, and trading.

RE:Fake cards

I got scammed into getting a bunch of fake cards from a dealer at a swap meet. I never knew how to check them till reading this post, so thanks to you guys!

Alot of the fakes I got are from the DP sets and up, and they are pretty darn good, too. can't see thru them, but the holos are fake. you could tell by the different type of foil used, misprints on the cards, etc.

my question is this; how are people getting away with bootlegging these cards, and how come no one is taking legal action to stop it? Alot of people, like my son and myself, have been conned, and I'm sure countless others. What is the casual player to do?

Its Probably a fake scan...
(Scaned real card and added 1st edition symbol)
:nonono:

I would go back and reread the whole thread. It seems you jumped to your own conclusion which just isn't true. It isn't a fake scan, it is a fake card, there is a huge difference as one as accidental and one is on purpose.

Drew

You know what it might be? I remember back in the day that some people made there own stamps that had the 1st edition logo on in and tried to stamp there own cards to make them worth more. If you want you could try rubbing the 1st edition part and see if it smears.

wow i cant beleive it its awsome but after looking at the comparasins it looks darker so its probably a fake i have good eyes approved from the doctor and eyesight doctor i can litterely see in the dark and anyway it looks a tad bit dark and suspicious and fake

I could be wrong, but he may mean that they scanned the card to fake it. that's why it's pretty similar.
