Southeast Regional Championship & Holon Phantom Pre-Release - Greensboro, NC 4/22/06

Thx Jeff for a well run event :clap: Always glad to help out on staff! Was my pleasure to see such great sportsmanship in the 15+. Very few problems, a few decks had to be resleeved and one minor venting by a player and that was all for the Judges to really worry about. The players should all be commended on their SoTG. Everyone had fun or else they lied to me LOL. Was great to meet Mike L. and play him in the friday night tourney. How much fun is it to sit down, introduce yourself to a POP/PUI exec. and he says "I know...you are Lawman on the 'Gym" WOW....he knew ME LOL. Mike is a very cool guy and it is great to know that he is one of the true "elite 4" that make the US OP so great. (As do Pete D., Jimmer and Dave!)

Congrats to the winners......The only "slops" would go to the hotel for having such a weak link to their wireless internet in the rooms and for booting us out on friday and saturday night. Dont they know Pokemon goes on 24/7 ????? (Oh...and please, put more than 3 trash cans, small too, in a convention center room. Sad when Jeff has to use bags he brought to assist in trash pick up)

For the second year in a row, Jeff and Toni has put together one the best run and most fun regionals in the country. This year, it was my honor to be chosen as Head Judge of this great event, and it was a day I'll cherish the rest of my life. First, Jeff took great care of the staff, I would work an event for Jeff & Toni anytime! Thanks for the Birthday Bash! Happy 29 to me! :0 That was so cool of you guys. Second, the players in the Carolina region are super cool. I've never seen so many great sports in my life! It was truly amazing to see the game spirit shown by this group. Third, the staff was awesome! Jeff put together a strong staff, and the event had no problems. Thanks to you all for making my job easier! Fourth, Mike Liesik. He was a hit with the kids, and having him there made it fun x 2! And he let me beat him in the staff tourny ;) Fifth, Mike Schell. The pictures he took will let all of us remember the fun we had and share it with everyone. If you haven't already, check out his website, the pics are awesome! ( mspokemon.com ) He is a gem for the game. And last but not least, the winners of this great event, including my Team Rocket group from New Orleans, who went 3 for 3 in trophies! Dylan, Brent , and Demi, great job, I love you kids! Jake and Michael, great job as well for winning you age groups! Dylan said he will do a report when he gets home from school.

This is the best tourney I have been to since I have started with the great atmosphere and so many nice players and being able to meet new people. I can't wait to go to another Regionals next year and I hope to see all of you at Nationals.

I had a blast at the event, thanks in part to Anna and Demi's on-going "Unseen Forces boosters" chant as they tried to convince me let them open a box of UF that I'd brought.

Everything ran uber smooth, mad props to Jeff and his crew. It was good to see familiar faces again, and meet folks in person that I'd only met online.

I apologize for my comment. I love Gymbo, I love him A LOT :)

But it was a fun and well ran tournament. Reynolds pwned NC once again.
 
I want to thank everyone who worked this event. It was lots of fun, i would have loved it even if I didn't win it. All the N.C. people were cool, and Mr. Jeff did a great job again.

Remember that Mike L was carrying his box of cards and giving packs out to all the oppo's that beat him. As I recall, his box was empty by the end of the night :cool: :lol: j/k, Mike was great to hang out with!
