We are pleased to announce this non-official tournament held in Barcelona, Spain. As you may know, Spain isn’t yet in the OP. This tournament is part of a project to get recognition both nationally and internationally in order to get the OP for our country. It’s also a great opportunity to get ready for Worlds.

Date: August 9th 2014

Place: Kaburi Rol & Games. Passeig de Sant Joan 11, 08010 Barcelona, Spain. Location of the place.

Preregistration at https://www.eventbrite.es/e/entradas-barcelona-summer-championship-12271278725 from July 14th to August 7th. It is totally free and just for organization purposes. There is a booster pack for the first 18 preregistrations depending on attendance.

Fee: 6 euros. There is an option to acquire different menus with the preregistration:

Players who have made the online preregistration must give a printed copy of the “electronic ticket” or via mobile phone and pay in situ the fee.
A player ID card would be given to players without it.
The decklist will be taken by the staff during the players’ meeting.

Players’ meeting
At the end of the registration, a list of players and their assigned table will be given for the players’ meeting. Players must put their decklist face down in front of them and it will be taken by the staff. Players who fail to meet at their assigned table or give an unfinished decklist will be subject to sanctions according to the official ruling and will enter the tournament in round two.

Decklist
It could be done by hand or by other means, like using the template at www.pokegym.net/decklist
It is fully recommended to have a correct list in order to avoid future sanctions. For example, if a deck contains 3 Yveltal EX, 1 Promo, 1 Full art and 1 normal, they must be listed individually.

Modified Constructed Format
Decks must contain 60 cards with sleeves and according to the four copies per card, except Basic Energies.

Allowed languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Portuguese.

As it would be a competitive tournament, the penalty ruling will be Tier 2. It is fully recommended that players bring a suitable number of damage counters and Special Conditions markers.

Players can use a six sided competition-legal coin-flip die (transparent die). The same die must be used all over the tournament.
It is also recommended to bring a suitable number of sleeves in good condition and another set of the same-type sleeves in case of deck control by the staff.

Tournament
Each player will play in his or her age division (Junior, Senior, and Master) with a minimum of 6 participants per age division. In the event that an age division does not reach a the minimum number of players, it will be held an Age-Modified Swiss Pairing, as stipulated by official ruling by Play Pokémon.

It will be a 3 round Swiss tournament with 50 minutes per round played best of three.
