We love our players from Texas...run down art mall, horse racing track, space center, we all get a bit creative with this, yes?

Can't wait to see you all WHEREVER we host next year...have some ideas and some planning already going on.

How about some other weird news for the event....

The Junior who was 3rd in the World in TCG (and therefore has his trip to Hawaii for next year in TCG) played, and went 3-3 thanks to some ELITE junior competition - like Xander, David, Trevor, and all the rest...missed the cut, and then played in his first ever VGC event.

And won.

Yes, Alex will be playing VGC for Nats (not TCG) and will not be playing in Missouri States TCG.

in all of the pictures i found me in 2! great pictures BTW.
 
I'm a Master, and my Champ Points and Rating are updated.

However, my son's (a Junior) are not. The tournament appears in his tournament history, and it shows he took 5th place, but his match results are not reflected in his Premier Rating nor his Championship Points.

Maybe others are having this same issue?
 
Check to see if the tournaments are tagged as Premier yet. We ran them on separate computers, which means separate uploads. It's likely that the Jr and Sr tournaments haven't been tagged yet. Once they've been tagged, you'll get your points.

Thanks to all the judges, computer operators, support staff, Denise, players and parents - everyone made this an amazing event. BIG thanks to Camille for all the pictures - love them!! A special thanks to all those who rode in the van with me - and kept me from falling asleep!

Hope to see you all in Houston in the Spring! I will definitely be back in St. Louis for Regionals next year. Don't care where, when, or how - but I'll be there. (probably dragging my group with me - somebody has to keep me awake!!)

The events are all reported, now they just have to be tagged by Pokemon.

There are some player issues that have been identified (age groups), and those have been discovered (THANK YOU DOUG WAGNER) and sent on to Pokemon for correction.

I am still flying high from Regionals, and simply can't believe how large it was, and how we all worked together - staff and players alike - to make it a memorable experience!

hey vince, what current Pokemon are legal in the VGC? im trying to start playing that! right now i have pokemon soulsilver and pokemon black? so, the main question is: what pokemon from the oldest game can you use?

just curious about the points as well. my son noah got second in the seniors and the other son played in jrs and neither have been updated. any help please thanks

btw they had a great time playing in all events and said everything went smoth which my wife loved. thanks for all you guys do.

Official update on Championship Points for Juniors and Seniors:

We ran the Juniors and Seniors as separate events, which Play!Pokemon needs to have officially entered as a Regional event, so that the Championship Points are properly calculated and attributed.

With the Thanksgiving Week, the Pokemon staff is generally out until next Monday (the 28th).

I have sent in all the reports, along with the "discrepancy" report to fix a few age issues.

If history comes correct, the Championship Points should be correctly updated by December 1st.

I know you are all excited, as am I, to see the new rankings!

See you at B&B for Cities on Saturday the 3rd of December!

First of all, I want to thank everyone who had a part in organizing/running the event, I had a great time and have very few complaints!

I won the VG portion of the regional in Seniors, and have yet to receive my Championship Points/ELO Rating on the Play! Pokemon website (it hasn't even acknowledged that I participated). I saw that there may have been a problem with each player getting "tagged" (from the posts above), but I assume that had to do with TCG. I wouldn't say anything, but I saw that another player I recognized from the event (he placed 5th) had been updated in regards to points. If the deal with the TCG player's points getting updated also applies to the VG players, I'd appreciate knowing!

I was also curious to know if my name was taken down wrong, or a mistake was made by the Pokemon.com website. My name is Jonathan Rankin, yet on the Pokemon.com article listing all the regional champions my name is spelled "Johathan Rankin". >__> If this could somehow be cleared up I'd really appreciate it!

Once again I'd like to thank the crew at Yeti Gaming for putting on such a fabulous event!

You can use Pokemon as far back as you can get them as long as you can transfer them to your Black Version and they're not on the ban list (same as the Battle Subway or Global Battle Union for the most part).
