The goal of the deck is for a T2 Gyarados. Pluspowers and Bucks help maximize your OHKOs. If they can't OHKO you, then you have a near guaranteed shot at an OHKO on them. I use the Elm Engine to setup fast and consistently. It's a substitute for Claydol that runs through the deck much faster BUT it does have downsides. Unown P and Unown ! pile the damage on your Gyarados so that Flail does tons of damage. Pretty simple deck to play, that really owns on AMU and Kingdra. Other decks need to be tested.

I'm thinking that Hand Refresh is the order of the day in something like this. More cards & faster ... though with less damage output than you get with all the plus powers & bucks. Also SSU ... flippy but worth it I think. It's good both to save a badly hurt Gyarados and to thin the bench vs. Dusknoir.

Uxie is faster and more easily searched.

VanderbiltGrad: I dunno, 12 supporters seems like a lot for this deck. and 8 shuffle supporters seems like way too much. I like the Super Scoop Up idea, but not sure what to take out.
