Just Follow the Battle Tower Rules...

1. 3 Pokémon @ Lv50
2. No multiples of the same Pokémon (example: you can only have one Golem, not two.)
3. No Multiples of the same Item. (Example: Snorlax and Pikachu can't both be holding Leftovers.)
4. And The Ban List:

#198 Kyogre
#199 Groudon
#200 Rayquaza
#201 Jirachi
#202 Deoxys
#305 Mewtwo
#306 Mew
#384 Lugia
#385 Ho-oh
#386 Celebi

Thanks GreatFox, that's exactly what we're going to do!
I also want to reiterate that the Prerelease will be held at the Atrium Hotel in Irvine which is different than the other prereleases. Please double-check the first post for the address and start time!!!!
Thanks and see you all there!

I hadn't thought about the other "legendaries", but we probably won't allow Suicune/Raikou/Entei, Articuno/Zapdos/Moltres, Ho-Oh/Lugia (if it were available), etc. either. I'll discuss it with my staff, but don't count on it.

Bottom line is, if you have a question on a particular Pokemon, make sure you have an alternate to take its place in case we say "no".

Sorry,
- CHRISBO

Thank you for just posting that, Chris! I was about to sign off to go being to EV train my Suicune all night when I got the email notification to this topic. That would had been a MAJOR waste of time. :)

Ok, guess I will have to go along with another water type. :)

I guess bottom line is if you plan on using a "legendary" pokemon have a good backup just in case. We'll have all the rules and guidelines ready tomorrow.
Thanks and see you there!

WOOHOO..."SUPER EXCITED ABOUT THE RETURN OF TEAM ROCKET TO THE TCG... NEED SLEEPY TO WATCH MY 'TOONS AND HEAD OUT TO THE ATRIUM...C'YA ALL THERE...BUH BYE NOW!!!

ME

So nice to see everybody and have a chance to talk a bit at the TRR pre-release. (Thanks to WeileMom, Chrisbo Mrs & Mr Cattdreams for the great leadership). I got several of my Professor Elm's signed by Pokémon Professors, including two brand new ones. I think we had about 65 people. Nice turnout!

SoCal is really a great environment for Pokémon. Some of the brand new to the game people from our league came and were very impressed by the sharpness and coolness of players of all ages. Everyone from casual to elite played with intensity but kept it cool and fun. There is an abundance of good leadership whether profs or gym leaders or PTO in SoCal. Yah, we rock.

I thought, pulling two grimers and two dark muk, that I had a shot at the title, but my misplay vs. a cruel shining mudip and then an energy crisis in the last round left me 4-2. Such is Pokémon!

Shout out to the members from League Store "Mira Costa High School RM67" for showing up in force (I think we had 12 there -- good job Prof. Dan).

Good to see everyone. I'll be at Bakersfield next Saturday & hope to see some of you there.

I would have to say this was the best pre-release yet. I really liked how everything went and how we had the GB side-event. Maybe we can do it again next time?

It was nice to see everyone as usual. Nicole, Ashley, Chris, Kim, Jerry, Mark, Stephanie, Jade etc. etc. Pokemon tournies aren't Pokemon tournies without you guys. :)

Me sleepy, so me going to bed now. Hopefully I will be able to go to the next pre-releases if I am not stuck with a 2 ton backpack of homework.

Hi, I just wanted to send a big THANK YOU to all of the staff and players at our prerelease this weekend! The players were awesome, as usual, and Chrisbo and staff did a great job of making the tournament run smoothly. SoCal rocks!!
See you guys in Vista next weekend!

I think this set wasn't that good in terms of Pokemon. If I had to name a few good cards I would say Kingdra because of it's weakness power or Suicune since it can do 90 to a Stage 2. I think this set was more focused on trainer cards and way better with them since most of the trainers were pretty cool.

Team Magma sucks. Team Aqua rules. Kyogre totally kills Groudon. Why does no one dress up as Team Aqua members?
