The tech against emp is obviously empoleon. Spread to thier emps and activate your scrambles when it dies.

Okay Empoleon counters.
Crystal Beach - Yeh, this isnt really an empoleon counter. While Beach can hurt Empoleon it doesn't come close to "crippling it" like half of you say it does.
Cessation Crystal - This can hurt, but if you have a good draw or even a decent draw it isn't as bad. You shut down Claydol and depending on what they also play either Helix Fossil/Omanyte/Omastar or Bronzong. Now I can tell you if are an Empoleon Player who has played against GG/Plox, you know exactly what you should be doing because most of the time you NEVER get to use your Claydol, so I don't see this being a huge threat
Electrode - No, this card is bad. Your trading a prize for a prize and then letting the Empoleon player attack becuase you gave them a prize on your turn. I don't like it.
Raichu - Can you say you lose to GG/Plox.
Dugtrio - It is a good tech, might be the best but a good Empoleon player is still able to win. If you don't get this up quickly you can have problems.
Mega d - What deck would you find could actually benefit from having this? If the player has WP or Retreats the effect for the "delta reduction" doesn't work and the fact that your only dealing 40 damage ever turn doesn't seem like the best plan in the work. I don't like this idea at all.
Dusknoir - A good player, no just a good Empoleon player can play around this.
As I said before everyone should stop worrying about what they MIGHT or MIGHT NOT face and just play a deck that is fun and that they feel comfortable playing and feel that they will do well.

Leafeon LvX is a good one. Being invulnerable to Dual Splash is sweet, and If they use Surf Together twice, that's likey to do 10 to all their bench, and it saves you from being hit by Dual Splach twice. Way cooler if you put a Cess on your bench so they can't Warp and Devolve you.

Holon Circle + Golduck d + Dialga Lv. X + Raichu.
Stall with the stad so no spread. Try to get two turns in a row to attach energy via Palkia, (you're not attacking for a while). Set up two or three Raichus and kill Empoleons or whatever back to back to back. Oh baby!

Dusknoir would be a good tech at this moment since it can counter lots of decks. However if you want a good tech just find one for yourself and that you fell good with it.
