Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The (Asumed) Top 10 Cards We'll Miss

Who ever said the faster deck is the better one? Ever heard of a control deck?

If my control deck, controls faster than your control deck, my control deck is the better deck. Unless of course Scramble exists, in which case having the better control deck will skrew me over.

Quick Search Pidgeot. Oh wait, wrong rotation

No, but seriously how could you not mention Tauros?

Tauros= Intense

I miss holon lass... :(

Nah, GOOD BYE CASTAWAY, I'LL MISS j00 <333

(Buffer Piece was underrated, I'll silently miss it <3)

Some how no one mentioned it at the meetings (throught pm) about the list and what order the cards are.

Imo, Holon Castform died out long ago. I'd rank Steven's Advice over it, simply because people still use Steven's, while almost no deck uses Holon Castform these days.

Otherwise, I pretty much agree with everything else on that list.

Steven advice is awesome against magmortar. They load their bench full and you draw 6 cards for it. What card could ever draw you 6 cards without shuffling your hand back in to your deck?

ever heard of plox?

WHAT?!?!?!?! I have NEVER heard of a PLox list with Holon's Castform.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

Strength Charm and Copycat will MORE THAN LIKELY be reprinted sometime soon. I mean, these 2 have been constantly reprinted since the e-Card series, and aren't EX-specific, so they will more than likely get reprints.

They won't reprint strength charm and Copycat because they already got Plus Power and next set Cynthia's in it.

I thought Copycat was that you met her in FRLG and GSC.
Strength Charm isn't likely staying due to PP

great list, and anyone who says that island hermit is horrible, it's ONE card that u don't have to worry about being telapassed. and i don't think strength charm will be riprinted due to pp, and instead of copycat, people will use chatot MD.

Uh, has it occured to anyone that DRE has a lower chance of being rotated out, what with it being in P5? Sure, the card might get rotated, but it might not. I say, don't call false alarms. We may be stuck with it for another format. You never know...

And CG Sableye? COME ON, PEOPLE! Great stall that splashes into any deck. What's that, Garde? Can't use Psychic Lock? What's that, Gallade? Can't use Psychic Cut? BAM. Definitely undderated, even though I haven't seen it played too much.

OK with Island hermit they still can use the effect with out flipping prizes since it doesn't say you have to you might want to edit that part muscovy

People mention that certain cards will be reprinted, but how many supporters from the E-card series were reprinted? Very few. 4/18 to be exact. Out of 35 supporters from RS-LM, 10 of them have been reprinted in HP-on sets. I think it's safe to assume that most of the supporters in this format will not be reprinted.

Usually, the reprinted cards haven't been niche cards like Fisherman or Desert Shaman either, usually generic supporters like Oak's Research and Celio's Network. Here is how I feel the supporters will end up.

Bill's Maintenance - Could be reprinted. It has been reprinted multiple times before and is generic, but there has been many new draw 2 cards.
Castaway - Very niche card. I don't see this being reprinted.
Celio's Network - Mentions exs, and would be overpowered if it can grab any pokemon DP-on. I don't see it being reprinted.
Copycat - Could be reprinted. Has been reprinted before. Generic hand shuffle, but might not be needed with Cyntha Supporter coming out in next set.
Holon Adventurer - Holon = rotated.
Holon Mentor - Holon = rotated.
Island Hermit - Kind of niche, but kind of not. This could be reprinted.
Mr. Stone's Project - I see this being reprinted because it's great for beginners. Sure, Roseanne is so much better, but playability does not equal reprint-ability.
Professor Birch - I could see this being reprinted, but could understand if it wasn't. It's effect isn't that great anymore.
Professor Cozmo's Discovery - There are so many draw 2 cards now that I kind of doubt this would be reprinted.
Professor Elm's Training Method - Totally gone since it mentions exs.
Professor Oak's Research - I could see this being reprinted. It's been reprinted multiple times too, so that gives it a good history.
Scott - Too niche. I don't see this being reprinted.
Steven's Advice - I don't see this being reprinted. It was only reprinted in the US made set, so that wasn't even a JPN set (that I know of).
TV Reporter - Could be reprinted since it was in Dragon Frontiers, but again, there are many draw 2 cards, and there is also Felicity's Drawing that does the same job as this.

So, to summarize, I feel the cards that will be reprinted are:

Copycat
Mr. Stone's Project

Yeah, even though I could see some of the above be reprinted, I feel Copycat and Mr. Stone's Project has the biggest chance to be reprinted. But you know, I don't even think their chances are that high. Roseanne is just a much better, newer version of Mr. Stone's Project, and Team Galaxy's Wager is a newer version of Copycat.
