I am moving to Japan in about 45 days now and will be there for 3 years. I am a long time competitive player and I want to get into the game there when I'm not deployed. However I own no Japanese cards as of now. I have been studying Japanese for a while and I look at the JP cards online and I can read them and could definitely play no problem.
Does anyone know if I can use english cards in Japan, or much about the state of the game in Japan, how they play tournaments or if they do? Or any site that is like pokegym or pokebeach but in japanese?
To get prepared I wanted to pick up at least some semi competitive cards in Japanese and I wanted to know if anyone had recommendations on the best place online to get Japanese cards. Any help would be appreciated, thanks gym.
