The "Giving a Pokemon TCG Deck a Name"-Thread

I always try to give decks abbreviated names of all the main pokemon in it. But I have found out that it is only catchy when it sounds good, or wins.

i.e. ZRE, LBS, MSN

A decks name should also say something about where it originated. Which was great when Team R created R-Gon.

I've always hated the lame names people give Kriketune decks when the obvious name for it should be QUICKETUNE.

My first big tournament, they asked me for my deck name. I had no idea what they were talking about or that they neede a name. So then just as now my deck's name is "Bob". Every deck I play, no matter what pokes are in it. That way nobody gets offended, ripped off, insulted, confused or upset by the name of my deck( except for Bob of couse. Sorry Bob):lol:

I have always hated how people name thheir decks just mixing the pokes name, for instance, i try to give my decks nice names but nothing like InferVirePoleon....

My "Infercatty" deck is "Blitzkrieg" (do a quick search and u´ll figure it out)
My Electivire deck is "Shock Therapy" ( )

Im still working on my Garchomp deck....im thinking around Squalo...or Great White.....something Shark related.....not just SmearChompCattyTon

But... I can't do a Quick Search. FRLG Pidgeot has been out of the format for a long time.

I'm pretty sure what makes a deck name stick is how easy on the tongue it is when talking. Imagine trying to discuss strategy with someone else and saying "Well, if 'Admiral Wolverine Lightning Bolt' doesn't get the Castform start against 'Big Flexin' Muscles TeCH than it actually has a chance" vs "If Metanite doesn't get the Castform start against Mario then it actually has a chance"

Sometimes it's just a matter of how easy it is to say, or that it isn't really silly.

I don't even have a name for the 2 decks I'm playing right now. I just refer to them by the main card =p

As for me, I name my decks myself. Not too original but eh.

Sala-MENACE = Salamence Ex PK
Spamdra = Kingdra
Noble Defenders = Gardevoir/Gallade
Royalty Guard = Nidoqueen/Gardevoir (Played that a while last format)
Masquerade = Masquerain + Ariados
Failtune = Kricketune
