Diamond and Pearl brought us LvX Pokemon and the Compendium leveled up. Now it’s the PokeGym’s turn. Team Compendium is excited to announce the re-launch of the Gym, bringing us to a new level of Community involvement and paving the way for enhancements and great new features.
The Gym has always been a reflection of the Community, the sum total of all of its members. TC has always tried to remain true to the founding principle that our users should direct the look and feel of the PokeGym. That has resulted in the Gym being one of the premier Pokemon fan sites in the world. However, a site that does not change over time will not continue to meet the needs of its Community, and in order to meet the future needs of the Gym we will need your help.
WE HAVE A PLAN! As the old saying goes, “many hands make light work” and in order to position the Gym for enhanced features while still maintaining the look and feel of a PG moderated site, we need Community involvement. That will take the form of forum moderators and some other special assignments. Over the last few months TC and the senior staff of the Gym have been working to outline staff expectations and descriptions of some jobs were we could use your help.
A common question over the years has always been, “how can I get to be a moderator”. Our standard answer has always been “if you're asking you probably won’t get to”, but times change. Now we want to give you the opportunity to give back and help shape the PokeGym, but it won’t happen overnight. Remember, we’ve set up some standards that will be used to evaluate applicants. We also need to move forward in an organized way to give everyone the support they need to be successful, which means it may be a while before we can use everyone who wants to help.
Check out our new Community Rules, Staff Guidelines and Open Positions. If you meet the qualifications and are willing to faithfully give some of your time to help us level up the Gym, you can apply in the “Team Compendium's Hideout”; post a thread stating the position you're interested in and why you think you are qualified.
