Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

the top 3 decks (at worlds)

Bobby played ppower tree and said he wasn't using it, just looking in his discard pile. So he looks through discard pile, sees no energy. He then plays Holon adv and discards water energy, draws, and try's to get it back w/power tree. Miksa says he can't. Judge comes over, rules in Miska's favor.

1st, Bobby said he was just looking through his discard pile, and 2ndly, the power tree action never could have taken place because there was no water to be grabbed.

Like if I used mantine's d power to find I had no energy, then discarded an energy w/adv, I would be able to use mantine's power because it was unusable at the first time I tried to use it. Game didn't allow it.

Somehow, I doubt your second scenario would work.

I posted a thread regarding that in ATM.
Just waiting for the reply.

Bobby - Yeah that was me, better luck next year for me xD

Phazon Elite - In fact my big brother already asked that a while ago because we weren't sure how it should have been judged either.

You can find the answer here: http://pokegym.net/forums/showthread.php?t=57437

But anyways, I can't say Miska cheated because noone knew how it should have been ruled, not even Miska and that's why he asked that. But hey Worlds are coming, only 6 days left and I hope that you Bobby and Miska can take a rematch in the tournament.

If this goes any further into an attack of a player, it will be locked, and points will be issued.

The discussion has been barely civil enough so far.

Come on, play nice kiddies.

Yah that was lame, Miska pretty much cheated. =/ Plus I heard he was a donksack with those flips throughout the tournament, or at least v. Elissa.

yea that whole power tree situation is lame.. if Miska understood english, there wouldn't have been a problem. but I can't deny, I prolly would have thought the same thing as Miska did, seeing opponent searching through discard right after playing their power tree. :nonono:
ugh... lame stuff though.

Perhaps he donksacked with flips, but as far as the LBS vs LunaRock matchup is concerned, I'm surprised that the LBS decks even came close to winning.. mainly cause of his Girafarig tech, I mean, they can't Wishing Star OR Quicksearch? crazy.
I think he was a smart player, and his deck was brilliantly built.

I imagine also Miska was fairly nervous, and probably near-on exhausted after 2 days of solid play. If I didn't understand English very well, and was that tired, I would have done the same. Slops to the JUDGE, not to Miska.

Anyway- Back on topic-
Top 3 played or Top 3 ranked?
Top 3 played- flygon, ape, flariados perhaps? remembering that ambush isn't that well known about yet and not everybody has the cards for spread (nor the massive amount of concentration power!). yet those three are more established, and probably easier for the younger ones to play.
Top 3 ranked- flygon will top 4 in one agegroup, as will ambush I expect. What will win? Who knows!
Maybe Spread, Flygon, Ambush?

I belive Scandinavia will make at least 1 T4 placing. I mean, even though Sweden Masters and Seniors is not that top notch yet(You will be next year ;) ) Norway and Finland has made some great showings.
The Sweden Junior is good too.
We will take 1 T4, maybe even 2 or a World Champ.

Yeah I'd never accuse Miska of trying to cheat or anything. Lunasol WAS a favorite, Elissa and I are just that good ;D

I'm sure anyone at worlds that wants to play spread will be able to get the cards.

With such a big amount of non-US players, I bet the metagame is gonna be much less predictable this year.

I'm sure anyone at worlds that wants to play spread will be able to get the cards.

I wouldn't be too sure, Jolteon exs and Mew exs are expensive considering demand but will plummet afterwards. I doubt there are LOADS of players who are willing to splash money they can not get back.
