If you want to use a GOOD firewall, go by Zone Alarm, it's about 35 dollars, but is amazing. My computer has been attacked MANY times, but NEVER once ever succesfully.

i have AVG and when ever i run the virus sweep it finds the exact same 3 virus everytime. it tells me that theyre deleted but, unless i get the same three virus' everytime i delete them, they arent going away.

stopzilla helped me with pop ups really well, but the free version doesnt have anti-zirus, it just stops pop ups.
i didnt get a single pop up while i had it though.

Windows XP comes with a firewall that is turned on by default, so you may actually have one

I turned it off because I wanted to be rebellious.

True that Windows XP SP2 has a built in firewall, but it is pure garbage :lol::lol::lol::lol::thumb:

@vanderbilt_grad, yeah, that is probably true, but that would probably be too complicated for his purpose, plus it might cost little money.

I don't have mine on either, but pure garbage is better than nothing.
