Thnks fr th Mnphy (Thanks for the Manaphy)
Parody of “Thnks fr th Mmrs” (Thanks for the Memories) by Fall Out Boy

I'm gonna make it surf and shake
    (If there’s a battle I can’t wait)
Hang in there but say you’re in control
    In case he doesn't know
    (Say you’re in control
    Say you’re in control)

And I want these moves to win the fight
Cuz’ they’re a song that makes the world come to life
“Who does he think he is?”
If that's the best you got, better put your monster back in its ball

One fight and one more try
    Thanks for the Manaphy
Even though its stats weren’t great
    It plays like Mew—only cuter
One fight, yeah, and one more try
    Thanks for the Manaphy
    Thanks for the Manaphy
See, it plays like Mew—only cuter (oh)

Been looking forward to this battle
Got my eyes on another badge
    and these Poké balls
It's always hazy except for (except for)
When you’ve got a test to pass (got a test to pass)
One last stand (one last stand-oh)

One fight and one more try
    Thanks for the Manaphy
Even though its stats weren’t great
    It plays like Mew—only cuter
One fight, yeah, and one more try

    They say
"I only think in the form of crunching Claydol
    In gym battles
    Collecting every symbol"
    Get me into this game
Get you out of your ball
    I'm just one move away
From getting the badge that I want (whoa)

One fight and one more try
    Thanks for the Manaphy
Even though its stats weren’t great

    Hah.
    Good one.

You should write more parodies of songs people have actually heard of, like this one.

So far, this forum has had 3 song parodies, 2 sucessful Fan Fics, and 1 fic that didn't even get off the ground.

Look in the archives. There's a lot more stuff. But yeah, this does tend to be a sparse forum.

So, I guess Fall Out Boy is bigger than Milli Vanilli right now.

eh...i can see it being a parody, but the syllibles (sp) are kinda off.....

Some of the syllables are shifted one over from the original, which can make it more difficult to read on your own. For example:

"Even though they weren't so great"

    becomes

"Even though its stats weren't great"

If you try to place the word "weren't" with its original note, the rest of the phrase falls out of alignment and vice versa. It's a difficult problem to work around since Manaphy is referred to singularly in the song. If you heard it sung, it would probably work.

Also, notice that the word "symbol" has to be pronounced slightly incorrecly to rhyme with "Claydol". It was easier than rhyming "psychics".

Lmao, I was actually singing the original song, along with reading these lyrics... Nice job...
