Hello to all, my name is Harrison D. and I'm bored so I'll write my tournament report, k? K. So anyways, I tested CMT for about 3 weeks and make a switch to ZekEel about 3 days before the tourney because of CMT's lack of recovery. So anyways my brother and I get to the event around 9:30ish and meet up with the Lesages, the Khans, and Mr. Estrada. Enough of me boring you and onto the report! (Also I knew Andrew was playing Donphan Dragons as he told me a week ago but I promised not to tech against him because then I'd be a bad friend :p)

6 rounds, top 8 cut:

Round 1: I get a bye!
I really don't want a bye because I feel I can beat out everyone here (except Andrew) and I know a bye will become a disadvantage later in the tournament so I wasn't to pleased. I sat around watching Hamza's games trying to find out what that Teriyaki LandShark was all about. My brother Connor (Vanilluxe) got paired up against Andrew but somehow Andrew won. LOL it doesn't make any sense. My friends Awais, Hamza, and Ashir all won so we were all on the right track.

1-0

Round 2: Noob (Reshiboar)
So we get set up because I'm not worried at all about this Reshiboar kid. We get going and I set up a mewtwo and a zekrom and sweep. Not hard at all.

2-0

Round 3: Ashir K. (ZekEel)
So we get set up and it's a pretty easy going battle since we both knew what eachother was playing and we're friends. He gets a 1 prize lead throught the whole game but I make a comeback by revenge killing his mewtwo with a terrakion (mewtwo had 8 damage on it from a disaster volt) and that play put me ahead 1 prize to 2 prizes when time is called. He proceeds to X-ball my terrakion for a K.O with another mewtwo, so I send up my cleffa, bench mewtwo, attach DCE, double dynamotor to mewtwo (for good measure) and X-ball for the win.

3-0 Hamza, Andrew, and Awais are all 3-0 as well.

Round 4: Shaun D. (ZekEel)
We get it going and he takes the first prize off my thundurus, except he doesn't draw a prize card. I take control of the opportunity and DO NOT remind him but simply play on. I have the prize card lead and I have 2 prizes left to his 2 cards with no electric energy in the discard. I have a zekrom with 2 lightning energy on the bench and a mewtwo active with a DCE and 2 lightning attached to it. My hand is a junk arm, tynamo, and an N and I have a switch in the discard pile. I make the play to N us both to 2 cards and proceed to ko his pokemon. He draws, benches mewtwo, attaches dce, and x balls for the win. He told me he didn't have that in his hand before I N'd so I should've retreated to a cleffa, junk armed for a switch, dyanmotor to the zekrom (lightning got into the discard because of my retreat with mewtwo) and switch to zekrom and bolt strike, which i couldve won from there. I was disappointed but I was pleased as well bc I probably made the right play.

3-1

Round 5: Gilbert H. (Cake)
We start up and I bench 3 free retreat tyanmos and a cleffa and eek, cleffa wakes up. His second turn, he evolves to electrode, benches a kyurem, energymites, hits enough energy, and glaciates for 4 prize cards as I'm just left with a zekrom. :(

3-2 Andrew is 4-1 and Hamza's 5-0

Round 6: Josh "from Koo's team" (Durant)
We start up and the game goes with me sweeping with zekrom, I have 2 prize cards left and he twin's for mewtwo and DCE and x-balls my zekrom for a ko. I send up cleffa, bench mewtwo, attach DCE, dynamotor to mewtwo, and X-ball for the win.

4-2 PRAYING FOR CUT!!!

Top Cut looks like this:
1st-Gilbert H. (Cake)
2nd-Eric M. (MagEel)
3rd-Justin L. (CMT)
4th-Hamza K. (Teriyaki LandShark)(Terrakion/Mewtwo)
5th-Shaun D.(ZekEel)
6th-Andrew E. (Donphan/Dragons)
7th-Awais K. (ZekEel)
8th- Harrison D. (ZekEel)

Slid in at 8th, ready for revenge against Gilbert.

Top 8: Gilbert H. (Cake)
He starts the match first and he just attaches to active terrakion and passes. I collector for 2 mewtwo and 1 40 hp tynamo attach DCE to mewtwo and eek. I stay asleep. He draws, collectors for cobalion and kyurem and energymites and hits 3 energy. I wake up, attach another DCE to mewtwo, and X-ball for K.O's everywhere.

1-0

He goes first and it's more of the same. He overcomits and energymites twice to hit no energy and I sweep with mewtwo once again.

2-0

The reason I went with the Mewtwo route was that he only plays 1 mewtwo so I figured if he ever got it set up I would win the mewtwo war.

Awais won against Eric, Andrew won against Justin, and Shaun beat out Hamza (no one knows how he did it lol)

Anyways back to the tourney report

Top 4: Andrew E. (Donphan/Dragons)
I knew I was dead, he plays 2 mewtwos and so did I so I can't win the mewtwo war, and donphan trucks everything in my deck, he gets a strong set up to my weak set up and it's a very quick game 1.

0-1

I go first and have to eek and he gets another strong setup and has 1 prize left to my 6. I forfeit the match because I'm not making that sort of comeback.

0-2

Andrew apologizes for beating me out, but that was expected. He went on to win the tournament so congratz to him and team Koo for taking Masters and Seniors. Finals in seniors was Shaun D. vs Andrew E. where Andrew swept. Andrew made an amazing deck choice and I had no idea there would be that many ZekEels. See everyone in Quebec if you're going, should be a fun time!

Thanks for reading, Harrison out :p
