Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Top Cut Invitational: Tournament of Champions

Jason Klaczynski is still one of the best players in the game. That game versus Fulop was pure class. Were the format untimed, I'd expect to see him at the top tables without fail.

I thought that Jason lost that first game for sure with that sunkern start when Fulop got out Yanmega so early on. He proved why he only needs to run two odishes. :D

The videos are great guys, but I noticed the sound is REALLY off. Like, 4 + seconds behind the visuals, which is quite annoying.

It wasn't near as bad in the JWittz vs Jason Harry videos, though.

Thought I would take the time to point out to Pooka and Crim that Muk actually Confuses and POISONS, not burns.

They kept saying "burn, burn flips, burn burn burn" when fulop didn't flip once.

They had an annotation on video that points this out....thanks for paying attention

Yeah, the first few videos were messy, but they will get better. In a lot of senses, this was our first attempt (recording, commentating, editing...), so a lot of mistakes were made unfortunately. We'll be uploading a new match every day, and the audio will be in sync with the video from now on. Thanks.

Props....there were some mistakes that I am sure you are all aware of (or will be made aware of) but overall excellent first efforts. Thanks for investing all your time and energies on this...

Cawthon wasn't in the tournament, because they decided who they were going to invite before the tournament started. He would also maybe of had plans like Cohen did.

You can find all of the videos for the tournament in the playlist here. It was my first time trying to sync video and audio files, so the video is not always lined up with our commentary. In addition, there were some errors made by the commentators, but it got better as the games went on. Still, I hope the games are enjoyable for everyone!

How about next year you run a grinder type tournament for this on Thurs or Friday after grinders (great testing for Worlds btw) but even the grinder is semi-invitational, like you need to have requirements (nats top 4, regional finalist, worlds top 16 or whatevs, etc) and then those players play it out to maybe a top 16/32 which is then the top cut on Sunday where these players play it out and such. Let the juniors/seniors play too, if they are not noteworthy enough, they shouldn't beat masters or seniors in the first place.
