Ok I as I'm sure some of you have seen yesterday's "trash," (in regards to my friends' torterra deck) I've used different input for recreating this deck:

    Turtwig x3 DP
    Grotle x2 DP
    Torterra x3 DP
    Torterra X x1
    Venonat x2 SW
    Venomoth x2 SW
    Treecko x3 GE
    Grovyle x2 GE
    Sceptile x3 GE
    Tropius x2 SW
    Snorlax DF

    Energies

    Grass Energy x19
    Holon Energy GL x2

    Trainers

    Dusk Ball x2
    Rival x2
    Roseanne's Research x2
    Felicity's Drawing x2
    Rare Candy x4
    Bebe's Search x4
    Premier Ball
    Warp Point x4

Ok so I'm not going to bore you with the old strategy, so here is the version that I am going to make (force lol) him to use. Ofcourse his main fighter will still be torterra. Sceptile is there to double everything in grass energy. In case torterra gets damaged in the battle field, use warp point to switch with Tropius, who then heals torterra back up. Or, because torterra can heal itself, you can switch torterra out for a sec with Tropius, who then can whirlwind somebody you don't like. The Snorlax is there for stall purposes and the Venomoth is just great by itself, so why not mess up your opponent.

Ok so that's it. I'm still a bit shaky on things like if the Snorlax and Tropius should really be there. I would also like so comment on if Sceptile should just be there on the bench, or would it benefit from fighting as well. With Majestic Dawn coming out, I also wondered if I should think about changing Torterra for him (Frenzy Plant is decent). One last thing, energy and trainer help is greatly appreciated.

If you havin't gotten the trans for the Torterra that is coming out in DP5 go to pokebeach and see it because the new one is better.

I've already seen it. That's why I'm curious to know what people think about it compared to the DP one. Personally I think DP is a nicer choice because you can use vigorish dash, then heal yourself back up.

Yes but also with Dawn stadium coming too that heals a pokemon if you put a grass energy on it helps the deck,Check out my Torterra deck.

Rival is a horrible draw card, and Felicity's Drawing just doesn't fit in. I'd recommend Professor Oak's Visit or possibly TVR. Your strategy is based around stalling and trying to heal Torterra with Pokemons. Giving up a prize or two is just not worth it to save old Torterra. Maybe Potion instead of Snorlax and Tropius since you want to heal him so bad

Tangrowth instead of the whole Venomoth thing since it can abuse Sceptile's body.

play less nrgy, u have sceptile in there to double the nrgy, so why do u need so much?

Oh wow did it really look like healing was the strategy? Sorry, I really wanted it to look like using Torterra was the point. Snorlax is just to stall for torterra set up (plus DF Snorlax really can PO somebody), but I guess that's what Pachirisu is for. Ok I'll switch Rival with TGW and Felicity with POV. We'll also cut the energies. I thought Venomoth wasn't bad to have, but I will get rid of Tropius if it really doesn't need to be in there.

I definately agree with geting rid of Tropius, torterra heals so you dont need the tropius as well, also, snorlax d DF should go because it gets a 1HKO from darkrai, gallade, ar magmortars flame bluster, and it isnt that good of a staller.
with those three gone add another premier ball and some more draw power. Also take out 5 to 8 grass energy, you really dont need that many if you have sceptile. With the room from the energy I would add in another turtwig, maybe a 1-1 or 2-2 line of claydol, and whatever else for drawing or searching. Instead of Venomoth (I know you want it) Togekiss could be used to accelerate energy, and instead of bebes definately use celios.

That is some beautiful and golden advice. As much as I want the veno in there, if that many people object, then I guess it has to go. Maybe this time I'll add a 1-1 or 2-2 claydol line. I'll switch the bebe's with celios and the other 3 and the energies with a premier ball and some more draw power. Though with the Togekiss, I wonder if I really need Roseanne's Research. Coming together thanks. Now should Sceptile be on offense or just to be on the bench?

That's cool. I was just wondering because it's not like energy will be a problem. Ok here it is so far:

    Turtwig x3 DP
    Grotle x2 DP
    Torterra x3 DP
    Torterra X x1
    Treecko x3 GE
    Grovyle x2 GE
    Sceptile x3 GE
    Pachirisu x4 GE
    Baltoy x2
    Claydol x2

    Energies

    Grass Energy x8
    Holon Energy GL x4

    Trainers

    Master Ball x2
    Dusk Ball x2
    Roseanne's Research x2
    Professor Oak's Visit x4
    Team Galactic's Wager x2
    Rare Candy x4
    Celio's Network x4
    Premier Ball x2

That's 59. I think a nice stadium (field spell lol) will be nice, but I can't think of anything. If there isn't really anything, then I'll use a switch or warp point.

Add Dawn stadeum, its coming out in the next set and it heals you pokemon everytime you put a grass energy on it.

I haven't seen it on Pokebeach or anywhere else. Do you know for sure if it is coming out or have an image?

I'd cut the Sceptile to a 2-1-2 since it isn't built for attacking, and you won't ever need more than two, usually one would be enough. I'd sub in a 2-2 Tangrowth line since you only have 3 "good" attacking Pokemon in the deck being Torterras. You just need more attack options in my opinion.

BUT the list has shaped up SO MUCH better than it used to be. :thumb:

Ok so that would make some room for some warp points good. I just can't get over it, but wouldn't venomoth be a much better choice that tangrowth? Also I keep looking at the Sceptile over and over and I'm just wondering, wouldn't make a good fighting partner for Torterra (Like actually using it in battle)?
