Trouble installing Hamachi on Mac OS X

Well, I found out RedShark was coming out for Mac OS X later this month. I have a Mac laptop which is my main computer, but I have to play RS on my windows for now.

I'm all excited about not having to switch computers just to play RS now, so I naturally get ready and go download Hamachi's Mac version.

To my dismay, I can't get it to work. I get to step one of the instructions and then poof, something's wrong.

I run the installer through terminal. Worked great! Then, the next step is to run 'tuncfg'

So I run it in terminal, and it says I need 'tuntap' which you can get here: http://www-user.rhrk.uni-kl.de/~nissler/tuntap


See my problem? I get a 404 error every time I try to load the page. So I can't install Hamachi and can't play RS on my Mac! :sad:




All help would be appreciated!!

Try using HamachiX: http://www.hamachix.com/

It's a bit more user friendly

I don't know, but I don't think the HamachiX version supports chat, does it?

I sure as heck can't find it if it does.

Maybe it does, any body know?

As of the recent January, 2009, release, HamachiX does not support chat. - too bad.

Also, in my testing, I was not able to successfully play redshark online with two computers using HamachiX, the connection never worked. One HamachiX computer worked fine. I'd be interested in any other feedback on this.

They haven't even releases RS for Mac yet, have they?
