I see someone else has similar issues, Im trying really hard to start a new league in NJ. There doesnt appear to be any video game leagues for points for months, yet I cant get an answer. I submitted several weeks ago to have my background check done. Ive tried to get in contact with a NJ rep for Pokemon with zero luck. I have a store that is about to open up, I have plenty of Pokemon merchandise yet I cant get a league going. please help if anyone has any ideas, suggestions, phone numbers, literally anything. thank you!!!!
  2. I wish there was a magic wand for getting leagues started - unfortunately, there really isn't. It sounds like you've started everything correctly, and just need to be patient for the paperwork to clear. However, if you have a market of interested players, go ahead and begin by meeting informally - so players are used to coming to your store (congratulations, by the way) at a certain day/time. You won't be able to offer official league materials and promos until you are approved, of course, but you could have some fun informal tournaments, training sessions, and just be a gathering point for players. Be on the lookout for official events in your area and be sure to share that information with your players so they can work on earning Championship Points as well. Staying connected to the local Pokemon community is a great way to share resources, information and get help should you need it in the future.

    Good luck!

I have seen your posts around the forum, and I just wanted to thank you for continuously supporting others as they try to get the ball rolling on getting their leagues sanctioned. I am actually in the exact same boat, but if I am not mistaken - are you in Fincastle, Virginia? If so, the league that I have started and has a solid 10-12 active members ranging of all ages and we are located in Abingdon, Virginia about 2 hours or so from you. I would love for us to get in contact and maybe plan a "League vs. League" challenge?
