i plan on taking this to Battle Road. i'm missing 3 Castaway and a TSD. I should have the cash to buy a 2nd TSD in time for the BR but i'm having a hard time finding castaways in general

if you have any to trade PM me

made the edits

also i got my hand on a 2nd TSD and a 2nd Castaway so i still need 2 more castaway

and i'm sticking with hermits

In a deck that runs only 4 basics, I don't get running less than four Wager. Non-Rambolt versions of Banette ran about 6 or 7 basics, and it still got killed by multiple mulligans. If you don't wager by turn 1/2 after 2 or 3 mulligans, you're at such a huge disadvantage, especially with the (other) speed based decks of this format.

At least one Hermit. Else you just are playing with fire.

Zap-Turn-Dos 2008

Played by 8 yo kids and net deckers of the world! The skill is in building the most consistent deck with balance of getting up, staying up, and enough tech to win. The rest will be net deck with very little skill.

Here is my Suggestion for the name of this "arch-type" to be.

K-2

Still working on getting this ready for my first BR next weekend, even though from what I've read it's not going to be an easy play there.

anyways for where cards come from just google it or eby serch it

What is the current thought on using Crystal Beach as opposed to DRE? Or possibly both and just be rather judgemental when using the DRE. After playing around with this for a bit the biggest weakness seems to be something big with an early scramble on it disrupting your damage flow by taking out 2 Kricketune quickly, While DRE helps you keep up with KO's wouldn't the Beach help prevent them before they even happen? If you do run DRE I also suggest running 2 Rare Candy for the possible T1 (going second) on things like a lone Riolu or Piplup.

lolganium is right. This isn't a new idea. We had T2Zapdos dealing 60/70 damage on T2 back in RS-On and HL-on. Back then, most basics had 40-50HP so 60/70 damage on T2 was like 70/80 now. It was decent, but it never rose to much success. Players had to have a late-game answer because many games would last that long to the dismay of the T2 player.

Then we had T2 Banette, being able to "potentially" do 90 damage on T2. Even looking at the most recent Banettes, with strength charms and jolteon*s allowing for a much higher potential damage on T2, games still lasted much longer than expected.

If you get anything out of this post, get this. Don't expect games to be over before the opponent can get anything built. It sometimes happens, and it often times does not. Be prepared for a long game and have a late-game strategy with the deck.

If you prepare for a long game and have a late-game strategy and the game ends early, your fine. But if you don't prepare for a long game and the game lasts past early game, your in trouble.

I was playing a Kricketune deck for a while, teching the Latis, and I was forced to move on because random things (like Scanblast or random giant exs) will take you out. Lord help you if they have potions or buffer pieces. I really enjoyed the deck, it made me nostalgic for Koga's Zubat and Jungle Wigglytuff, but really HP Exeggutor is where it is at for bench damage, especially because he has growth potential with split bomb so you're not wasting damage on the two hit KOs. But really I just got a kick out of Prime's analysis that T2 decks don't have a T12 plan. Show me a turn 2 prevalent environment, and I'll show you a community afraid of Scramble energy.
