POKEMON POWERS

== INTIMIDATING FANG (Mightyena - EX:Ruby/Sapphire; Arbok - EX: Sandstorm;
Feraligatr - EX:Unseen Forces)
[CHRISBO NOTE: Add "Feraligatr" to this section header]

== INTIMIDATING RING (Ursaring - EX:Unseen Forces)

Q. Can Deoxys-EX's "Fastwave" attack get through Ursaring's "Intimidating Ring"
Poke-BODY?
A. Fastwave only prevents the *amount of damage done* from being affected by
Poke-Powers, Poke-Bodies, etc. Since Deoxys-EX is a Basic, Intimidating Ring
doesn't even let it start the attack in the first place. (Sep 29, 2005 PUI Rules
Team)

== SILVER SPARKLE (Lugia EX - EX:Unseen Forces)

Q. I attack with Salamence-EX's "Bright Flame", against my opponent's Lugia-EX.
Who chooses which Energy to discard or move, in what order?
A. Resolve your attack, then discard 2 Energy as a result for Salamence-EX's
attack. Your opponent then resolves the Silver Sparkle (flip, and possible
return of energy to hand). (Sep 29, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

POKEMON ATTACKS
----------------------------------------------------------------------

== BRIGHT FLAME (Salamence EX - EX:Deoxys)

== FASTWAVE (Deoxys EX - EX:Emerald)

Q. Can Deoxys-EX's "Fastwave" attack get through Ursaring's "Intimidating Ring"
Poke-BODY?
A. Fastwave only prevents the *amount of damage done* from being affected by
Poke-Powers, Poke-Bodies, etc. Since Deoxys-EX is a Basic, Intimidating Ring
doesn't even let it start the attack in the first place. (Sep 29, 2005 PUI Rules
Team)

== PSYLOOP (Espeon EX - EX:Unseen Forces)

Q. For Espeon-EX's "Psyloop" attack, does a Stadium count as a Trainer on your
opponent's side of the field. If it does, does it have to be set by opponent or
can it be you as well?
A. If you play the Stadium, it's your Stadium card affecting play; if your
opponent plays a Stadium, it's their Stadium card affecting play. Espeon-EX only
cares about your opponent's Stadium cards (and your opponent's other Trainer
cards)....not yours. (Sep 29, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

== SPIKY SHELL (Forretress - EX:Unseen Forces)

Q. Does Forretress' "Spiky Shell" damage the Pokemon if they retreat to the
bench? If not, does it damage the new Active Pokemon? Or does it not damage
anyone if they switch?
A. The effect is on the Defending Pokemon that was attacked, and it goes away if
the Defending Pokemon goes to the Bench, leaves play, or evolves. (Sep 29, 2005
PUI Rules Team)

----------------------------------------------------------------------
TRAINER CARDS
----------------------------------------------------------------------

== CHAMPIONSHIP ARENA (Promo)

Q. How does Championship Arena work? Do both players discard cards from their
hand at the end of each player's turn? Or only the player whose turn just ended
discards cards at the end of their turn?
A. The latter is correct. Each player only discards cards at the end of their
own turn. (Sep 29, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

== ENERGY ROOT (EX:Unseen Forces)

Q. Does Energy Root disable all Powers and Bodies, or only ones that you decide
on?
A. No, it stops ALL Poke-Powers and Poke-Bodies. (Sep 29, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

== POKEMON PARK (Aquapolis; Promo)

Q. Do you have to use Pokemon Park on your first energy attachment for the turn,
or can you choose to wait until the second or third attachment (i.e. with
Blastoise-EX)?
A. It's not optional - there isn't a "may" clause. That player *must* remove 1
damage counter from that Pokemon, provided it is the first time that turn that
he or she is attaching an Energy card from the hand to one of his or her BENCHED
Pokemon. (Sep 29, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

== HEALING STEPS (Ludicolo - EX:Deoxys)

Q. If Ludicolo has no damage counters and it uses "Healing Steps", can you still
discard cards from your hand?
A. Healing Steps says, "you may discard as many cards as you like from your
hand"; this comes before the "if you do" phrase, so yes you may discard more
cards than Ludicolo has damage counters (even if Ludicolo has no damage). (Oct
6, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

== PSYLOOP (Espeon EX - EX:Unseen Forces)

Q. For Espeon-EX's "Psyloop" attack, does a Mysterious Fossil, Claw Fossil, Root
Fossil, etc. count as a Trainer on your opponent's side of the field?
A. Yes, while Fossils count as Pokemon they are still considered Trainers while
in play. (Oct 6, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

TRAINER CARDS
----------------------------------------------------------------------

== SOLID RAGE (EX:Unseen Forces)

Q. Solid Rage says it "does 20 more damage to the Active Pokemon". Would it
also increase self-damage done to the Attacker?
A. Yes, if the Attacking Pokemon damages itself, that is increased as well. (Oct
6, 2005 PUI Rules Team)
