jus wondering if there is another mitcham cc?
i have heard a few ppl refer to its possibility, but nothing for definite.

I won at Hackney, great event and nice to see everyone. John H says he'll e-mail you the name of the nat's qualifyer (He lost in T4)
 
John's wife also mentioned somthing about a CC at Homerton on 24th March. You might want to check with him to see if it's going ahead or not.
 
According to the POP website, there's a CC in Islington on the 24th of March. However, there is no further information as to the location of this tournament.
 
I hope you're joking. I can't attend that one anyway.

EDIT: Was a post deleted or something? I swear someone said "Keep it secret to divide and conquer". Sorry if I was reading the wrong thread, I didn't mean Ultima. ^_^ Have fun.

(I meant I hoped they were joking about keeping it secret because that's a nasty thing to do).

According to TPfG there are no more CC tourneys in London planned or agreed - Just because the TO has sanctioned it as such does not make it a CC. Given that no UK CC has yet been allocated as a premier event you could also argue that no UK CC's have been CC's

Manchester's results are on POP's website but still no rankings. Why them and not Hull? Are there others up? It says under my stats that it was not a premier event:

Rating based invites to UK nats is going to be interesting this year given that the only tournament that is currently scheduled for rating points is UK nats itself. Given the excuses over why the current CCs aren't rated there is little reason to believe that any of the regionals will be rated either.

Of course given the repetative nature of some of the CC venues everyone from those leagues will have qualified anyway. Which makes a mockery of having Nationals as invite only in the first place. Why can't it be residents only and have free entry to Woburn as the CC/regional prize? There are maybe 300 players in the UK, why are we so afraid of a 300 player tournament? Bring em on I say. (I'll be judging probably *grin*) many wont turn up even to an open event as Woburn isn't the easiest of places to get to without a car.
