UK Nationals 2005...18th June...

you'll probably recieve an invite with your info relatively soon; check your post.

i can answer one of you questions for you; your sister and nephew CAN go with you, but you'll need to pay for their trip. This is because the travel award pays for the winner to go to worlds and a parent/guardian if the invitee is under 18. Since you won 15+, I'm assuming you're over 18 (correct me if i'm wrong). So, they don't get the trip paid for them. Keep checking though - TPfG might become generous.

hooray for andy and the beaker of doom! there was also a camel of doom- i was getting tired and so got the 'ump. :biggrin:
i believe somebody took a picture of the two semi finals (top four) and one of them had beaker in--> russ, could u put that in???!!! :biggrin::biggrin: PLEEEEASE???? i think Kraig L took it.
i went 3-2 in the first rounds, didnt make the cut. topcanary beat me in the first round when i got the worst start EVER. i was playing tech deck (lanturn, rhydon, magcargo, dark hypno) and got the worst draws in the first 2 rounds- dragtrode (topcanary) then pokeblob (my best mate...) with muk ex. -_- then won 3 on the trot but it werent good enough.

oh well, theres always next year. the chris mc fan club was a very happy one after that day. however, on the way home got stuck on the motorway going nowhere for 2 hrs cos they shut it cos of an accident. w00t....

To nationals 2006 i must go!

Wish Chris best of luck from me; I might be there if I can beg the parentals for the trip as a B'day present on 30th. If so, 15+ divison for me. :biggrin:

Round 1 Togetic
Sneasel EX > Togetic

Round 2 Dragy Shaun B
Shaun gets a turn 1 Pidgeot on the Bench , Nick starts with Sneasel EX, Sneasel EX takes three prizes. Shaun brings up pidgeot and damages Sneasel EX. Switch for an undamaged Dark Electrode.. KO Pidgeot. Shaun KOs Electrode. Second Sneasel than takes the last two prizes.

Round 4 Dragy Alan R

All Three of my Dragonairs are prized and I'm not playing candy. Opponent gets set up and I have 3 Dk trode , one Dratini and two sneasel EX. So I fight with the Dk trodes until I get to a prized dragonair. Then switch to sneasel beatdown mode.

Round 5 Guardy Shane

Shane starts with Wynaut I start with Sneasel. Shane fetches Ralts, drop a dark and Sneasel hits Wynaut for 20. candy to Guardy and searches for wobbuffet, another dark and KO Wynaut. Guardy retreats for energyless Wobbuffet and passes. retreat Sneasel and use trode to hit wobby for 40. shane attaches and psyshadows then passes. KO wobby with trode. psyshadow, boost and strengthcharm to KO trode, but all my energy is safe on the bench. Sneasel EX then ko's guardy.

All players below 16th are dropped by the TO. and the swiss rounds are continued


Round 6 Draggy Yaccine

not sure what happened but Yaccine takes three prizes.

Round 7 Guardy Shane again

TMS generates duplicate pairings and the TO lets them stand. The game lasts longer than the first time we played in the swiss but the result is the same.

Round 8 Zappy and other birds Pokeguru

He goes three prizes up before I play R Admin. I get set up and fight with Draggy Sneasel and trode to take the next six prizes.

I'm top of the swiss Its now TOP4 four match play with two trips. So this is the deciding match.



Round 9 Shane for the third time.

Shane gets an early lead so I conceede to give me enough time to recover. I have to win the next two games and a Sneasel /dark swarm does the trick. Don't remember the details.


9-0 and I finally have a trip to worlds.



Round 10 yaccine again

I win the match 2-0 but I don't remember the games. Cool trophy

Cool, that was me! I was running more birds(Moltres/Zappy/Quaza) than Zap-turn-dos. The "someone from edinburgh" was Allan R, who made T16, then dropped after loss in Round 6. :frown:
