If Mawile FST uses Chomp Chomp Hold on my Melmetal Vmax with 4 Basic Metal Energy and 1 Basic Psychic Energy attached to it, then I use Boss's Orders to bring up an opposing Pokémon with 220HP (such as Miraidon ex), then my Melmetal Vmax's uses G-Max Juggernaut, can I choose to do only 160 damage with the attack in order to not KO the Defending Pokémon?
I know I can do 220 if I wish, but can I avoid KO-ing it if I'd like by using the 4 Basic Metal Energy to pay for the attack cost so the only extra Energy is a Basic Psychic Energy so it does 160 damage?
