Anyone in the US has played already their CC’s and some of them even States.
Over here this year (2004-2005) NO CC’s, States of whatever.
Last year (2003-2004)4 CC’s were planned.
One of those was going to happen in the most NorthEast part of our country.
There is a players base in that part of the country so it’s fair they can attend at a CC without travelling to far.

So what’s a CC.
It’s an premier tournament open for all players.
At a CC you can earn several prices but also a bye for Nationals, by getting first of your age group.

4 CC’s are announced and several players out of the Western and Southern part of our country are excited about it.
4 chances to earn a bye for Nationals. 4 chances to earn that medal and price package.
This is the real stuff, we are going for it , prices here we come.
Some of us decided to go to each of them and are arranging transportation to get as many players possible to each event.
But something weird is happening, one CC is announced to be played at a private property (someone house) if there is not enough attendance.

It’s stated loud and clear that sanctioned events are not allowed to be done in private properties.
I’m talking about the 2003-2004 guidelines.

No problem with the players base there and us coming with 10-12 person there are enough people to play this event in a proper venue.
We are pre registering for this CC and guess what, we are not allowed to participate.
What not allowed, why?
Because the person organising (not booked as TO) is refusing to let anyone attend who is normally not playing at their unlimited tournaments and is not living in their region.
We let him know that a CC is an open event and free for anyone to attend.
He still refuses and stated on his website that the Local Distributor is giving their full agreement on refusing outside the region players.

What the heck is going on, this tournament is organized in the name of Pokemon Organized Play and should be according the guidelines/rules set up by that same POP.
Why is the official representative in this country not working with that same set of rules?

An email is send to PUI to ask what is going on, why players are not allowed to enter this CC.
Personally I expected that the LD (also being the sanctioning TO) should be corrected and that this CC would become open for each player.

But it went another direction, instead of correcting, PUI intl cancelled the whole CC.
Cancelled because the POP Championships requirements could not been met.

And guess to whom fingers are pointed as reason of this cancellation??????????
Of course ME.
Sure it’s my fault that some person up North is excluding players,
Sure it’s my fault that the LD is not following the guidelines/rules set up by PUI.
Sure I’m the one who cancelled this CC.
Sure, sure, of course, of course.

You know what’s unsporting. As LD trying to exclude players from a premiere event. As LD and in that position the official responsible representative of POP in a country not giving a **** about rules/guidelines set up by the company you are representing.
What is even more unsporting, trying to blame someone else when your own mistakes are corrected.
Our LD was asked/told many times by us to set up an equal arranged OP for each and every person willing to join OP. To follow the guidelines/rules set up by PUI/POP.
They refused, they stated that they had another vision on how to set up OP.
Because their point of view was different than ours, the LD told us they didn’t want to cooperate with us.
Fine, whatever they want.
If they can do it better, show us we won’t stop you. We will do our own thing, following our own vision, but we will keep on following the rules/guidelines set up by PUI.
But in case of failure , never ever accuse us from being the reason of failure. That’s is unsporting but also unprofessional at the highest degree.

This time we are for the first time in a long row of accusations, accused for being the source of the LD’s failure to deliver OP.

Sure, Sure the truth is out there, now only trying to find someone listening to it.

Tbc.
