what happens if you dont get an energy in your opening hand? Im doubting you can cycle through the whole deck to pull out 1 energy on the first turn.

I personally think Starmie is a slightly better choice then straight Uxie/Crobat.
Also, TSDs are great in this deck and superior to NM, I think.
With Starmie you have sniping capabilities to and ability to have greater damage output.

Either way, though, this is a good build. It catches a lot of people off guard, so they will misplay, but if you know what you're doing you can usually play smart enough to beat it if you get past the T1 donk. Palkia is a very hard matchup, stopping Uxie drops slows the decks down incredibly. And any SP deck packing 4 Sprays can also cause this deck problems, and of course Dialga is another near autoloss if they are smart and just deafen lock the entire game.

I dunno, it's a good deck, but it's also scary to play because of the Dialga/Palkia matchups.
Oh, and I have always played 3 energy in this deck. What if you get stuck with 2 being prized, it happens quite frequently with Claydols and Baltoys and stuff like that.

have you thought about spiritomb from LA? A SSU hit on that would be devastating to the opponent where as a SSU hit on Crobat only maxes out at 1 damage.... other than that, i like the build. and why only 1 supporter. i think a volkners or two might be helpful.

and the expert belt thing would be a great idea. i was planning on putting that into my turbo shuppet build.

maybe try
-2 unown q
-1 tsd
+2 spiritomb
+1 crobat g

??? thoughts?

Regarding both energy prized, over 1 in 100. Uxie drops need to be large, thus if you are holding a 2nd or 3rd energy during these, you Uxie drops become less efficient, and you risk not getting through all of your resources and have your deck stall during your turn.

Regarding extra crobats or spiritomb, .... yeah they have been in there. You only have room for one more pokemon on the bench. As is you drop 4 Uxies and 2 Crobats, that 6 spots, assuming you don't drop one those, you have one more spot.

Spirit tomb can obviously add most damage on board, but it isn't enough to "consistently" get a first turn 3rd KO. It also becomes a bit liability because of it's double retreat cost.
A 3rd Crobat has the same issue, it isn't enough to get a 3rd KO, thus you are better off with a tech spot on that bench spot.
Crobat, Mesprite, Mime/Mime Jr, are the simple options, more complex options are stage 1 such as Luminion, Weavile, Palkai, or Stage 2 are possible, but you really stess your uxie drops by holding extra cards.

Mime gives you the best long game options, and Mesprite option gives you a power lock early, with a possible 2nd one turnd 2.

It's good to finally see this list, Rob.

Everyone, I played against this deck several weeks ago at league. It's not fun. He took about ten minutes for his turn before triple donking me. D:

But seriously. It's a good deck, and anything that's not Gengar is fine with me.

lol, i think i played this deck in a side event, i was like "what are you playing?". i just killed him, 2 crobats.

Don't recall playing this in any side events. This deck will go kaput by itself about 10% of the time. That is because I have practice this deck, with paper and pencil to record my results for 50 games. You may have played a lesser build of a crobat rush.

I have had a lot of cases where I haven't gotten the energy on redshark. Though, it feels as if this deck isn't "redshark" friendly.

This deck could get really good thanks to that +20 damage trainer.

The plus 20 damage trainer will be awesome, helps the deck allot. Helps Uxie's in generally.

This deck isn't a redshark friendly deck, it is fun to play physically all by your self. It is like playing a game of solitaire with a deck of cards. If you haven't got the energy, you haven't mastered the trainer play yet. There is optimal order of play each and every hand and after each uxie drop, and if you aren't decking yourself first turn or 90% of time, you are likely doing some things wrong, that is the fun part of this deck, learning how to correctly work through the trainers. Some times you might have 4 cards left, by no bench spots left, as long as you know you can get the uxie next turn, this will count. (I often won't deck myself sometimes I get a crobat donk on the bench, and have the KO to the active. I will just get the double donk, and hold back the remain resources.

The key thing is to know these things:
1. Maximise your Uxie draw drops. Uxie for 6 or 7 is great.
2. Unown R's are benched as reserve draw until you either draw into a Nite Maintence or you get deperate for extra draw.
3. Quick Balls - you play this card first, you see what fate brings you.
4. Victory Medals- Expect the 1 heads, and top deck. 2 Heads is just a bit of bonus.
5. Poke-drawers - DON'T GET GREEDY, If you have a hand of Uxie and Poke-Drawer, PLAY THE DRAWER for 1. You hold a single drawer as you play your other trainers, but drawer is for drawing one and empting your hand before a uxie drop.
6. Plus Powers and Crobats, if you have Plus Powers before your Uxie drop, you can "Park" them on a Crobat so you increase your uxie draw.
7. Night Maintainence - You obviously want to play it for 2 to 3 Unown R's. With the Unown R's on Bench, once you get the NM, you then use the Retire power to get the cards into hand, and then send the R's back.
8. Dusk Ball versus Pokedex, you play Dusk ball first , then pokedex. Look at 9 cards, rather than only 8.
9. SSU, you need to need 23 ish cards on the uxie drops, if you have all 4 uxie drops availabe to you can invest some of the SSU flips to the Crobats, If one of your Uxies are prized, you will need to use the SSU on the Uxies.

This is a fun game to play all by yourself folks, much like the game of Solitaire.

Main attacker is Uxie IE Uxie Loop....

Attack Uxie+4 Plus Powers, Psychic Restore for 60, Put Uxie as the top card of your deck with energy and 4 plus powers.
Top Deck the Uxie, Set up for the 4 plus powers again, attach Cyclone on bench or on active for desire effect. Repeat.
When that Power Belt Tool comes out, it will be Uxie for 80.

I was testing this, but there are somethings I could not understand, what Mr. Mime does here? And if you can't donk at the first turn, what's your winning chance?
Nice deck, can draw most cards of your deck in a single turn.

Unown R concept of usage is really nice, i guess it speeds up the draw progress to bring in big damage early on.

Just curious, why not TSD?
TSD is so good with Unown R. AND if u get stuck with Unown R active and waste an Unown Q on it, then u can always get it back with TSD rather than NM, where it goes to the deck. I played 3 in my Starmie deck (you can check my BR thread to see it, it went 15-2 in all premier events that I played it in, only losing to Dialga G).

I dunno, I play Turbo Starmie so my list is much different. I don't focus on T1 donking because it's too hard now with Crobat G, Palkia G, Dialga G, and Luxray G being so popular. There are too many high HP basics now to focus on the T1 donk I think. With Starmie you also have sniping power to do extra damage late game OR to snipe their Claydol/Pixies for ur last prizes.

I love my Starmie deck though. Starmie has always been my favorite pokemon, aside from Buizel of course. SO, the fact that I get to play my favorite pokemon in a competitive tournament deck is amazing.

OH, and anybody who hasn't tried this deck really should. It is possibly the funnest deck out there and it really annoys ur opponents.

What about SP Radar in this deck? I was trying to think of something to get rid of those useless cards in your hand for bigger Uxie draws. I was thinking you could put back that 2nd energy you don't need or Crobat you can't play so you can get a 7 Uxie draw instead of a 5 or 6.
