so this is my first regional in a long time, i just started playing again. my friends suggested all kinds of decks for me to use such as: GG, cursegar, jumpluff, gyarados, and even gliscor lol. but i couldnt make up my mind. so i choose right before we leave. i chose cursegar (duh) i have only test played it once. but i thought i had control of it. so we leave NC about 6:30 to get to VA on time with enough time to eat. i have had no sleep. but nonetheless i knew it would be okay.
so i get there and do the decklist with some light trading. i needed new sleeves -.-
pairings are up.
vs. mirror (cursegar)
it starts out i get a gastly spiritomb and a baltoy. he also gets the same start it came down to out playing the opponent. i thought i was screwed because i haven't played this deck more than 6 hours. he tried to make up rulings in which the judge said no. he dusknoired me then i candied back into dusknoir for his dusknoir. but time was called and i won due to an expert belt. either way i out play him and win.

vs. teched jumpluff
i start with mr. mime and stop him from touching me for some time. i built up my bench strong enough and and start the attack once i get him on the ropes he plays shedinja and stalls but i have to use curse gengar to shadowskip doing nothing and poking his bench and then move the damage to shedinja the next turn. i played gengar lvX and knocked out 3 pokemon and won.

lunch break: hit up mcdonalds for barely anything to eat... so hungry
vs gyarados
i got such a bad hand. but it was managable he gets out gyarados and i play mewtwo lvX with an expert belt for a OHKO and build for two turns and do it again then he knocks it out, i get out shadow room gengar and dusknoir to put away his regice and poltergeist for another prize, then he searches out luxray GL. so on my turn i use lookers saving me, i send a god hand back and he gets nothing. poltergeist seals the deal and i win.

i play my friend who brought me up to the regional. he gets a bad hand i get a pretty good hand i lookers everytime he is about to play either luxray GL lvX or garchomp C lvX i continue to poltergeist for the win. he was so upset but he deserved it since he tried to ruleshark me -.- (lol

i get a shaky start off but he was abke to keep going at me. it is hard to keep up the pace but i get prizes here and there with gengar. we both had one prize left. he used uxie psychic restore to do 20 to me shadow room gengar and i dont get to flip. but i realized i could have bebe's for gengar lvX and lived another turn for the win.

keep him on lockdown with lookers and shadow skip gengar. plus warp energy helped me win.

my friends didnt make it. they were irratated and ready to go. but they got 3 mesprit i was 9 before top 16 my friends made 17th and 29th

he destroys me due to bad misplays.
he was a good player and i got 9 packs
i pulled a donpahn prime and meganium prime. i traded donphan for palkia g lvX
