Here is a brief summary of the WA State Events scheduled to date

City Championship Format

The format will be Modified Constructed. Bring your 60 card deck to play in
an age modified swiss match style. There will be a minimum of 4 rounds.
Total number of rounds depends on number of participants. Cards from
Expedition- on and Nintendo Promo cards are allowed. New Pokemon Cards sets
released after the City Championships have started will not be
allowed to be used in the City Championship events. Team Magma and Team Aqua Pokemon
cards will not be legal in city championships for March 20-21 and March 27-28.

A Promo card will be awarded to each player that plays in the City
Championship.

City Championship Prizes:
Prizes are awarded to each of the three recognized POP age categories, 10
and under, 11-14 and 15+.
Prizes include EX Dragon booster packs and City Champion award Medals.
The Prize package for the City Championship is as follows for each age
group:

1st place: 1 Display of Pokémon-e TCG Booster Packs (36 packs)
2nd place: ½ Display of Pokémon-e TCG Booster Packs (18 packs)
3rd & 4th place: ¼ Display of Pokémon-e TCG Booster Packs (9 packs)

There will be a VIP pack awarded to the winners in each age group if more
than 8 player show up for the event. Each winner will receive a VIP package
of exclusive merchandise when they register at State
Championship to be held May 1, 2004 at the Federal Way Seatac Mall.

City Champions receive a first round bye at State Championships.

Other prizes will be given out at each location per the discretion of the
TO. These can include gift certificates, booster packs, promo cards, holo
cards, oversize promo cards, posters, Ex Series Collectors Tin, etc.
