^why dont you keep your smart remarks for yourself? We have already estabilished that Wailord is not an overpowered card. What some refuse to accept, is its remote playability. It is a nice deck that definitely has potential and in my opinion is hurt more by the time limit on swiss rounds than anything else.

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

What about playing Dialga Lv.X in here? I would drop Xatu for it as I have never used it. It's a nice way to put the time you need to set up to good use. Not being able to attack doesnt sound so bad when you dont have enough energies anyway.

Does anyone play Glacia´s Stadium? It´s good because Pachrisu does 10/40 dmg, if u have a tool.

Whats about Dugtrio CG? Do you need dugtrio in a wailord deck?

As previously mentioned Rayquaza is an easier way to get rid of weakness should the need present itself.

You want to play dialga lv. X and cresslia lv. X? you have to abuse like 3 warp points to get all that into play. That's all your switch cards for the most part.

200 HPs and st1, and who said that Wailord plays Leftovers against Pachi decks, also Rayquaza d HP is good TeCH against Pachi because it can take out my Weakness (wow 40 with 1 energy and 70 HPs!!!!!!!)

Wow... Wailord can't one-shot the Electric Rodent known as Pachirisu, especially with DRE attached. And Pachirisu is a GOOD ATTACKER. 80 for 1 and you can't OHKO it and it gets rid of Leftovers... bad. And Pachi is the least of it's worries. After Pachi hits, Magmortar sweeps you so bad. 100 to anything, or it can do xX amount of damage, plus healing. And don't even mention Gallade. Sonic Blade for 150... yikes. Psychic Cut can puncture the Wail, and Psychic Lock locks Cress X from healing. 200 HP is a lot, but it just doesn't have the attack to make in the current format. It takes a long time to build up, the best you're going to do is a T2 40, which is HALF, or even a QUARTER of what Banette does. Sure, Wailord stays in for longer then Banette, but alot of things 3HKO it or 2HKO it in this format. It would be broken in a format that can't easily hit 100+, but unfortunatly it is, and so it is not that great. Playable, maybe, nut broken? Absolutly not.

Okay, what is broken? GG? I don't think so maybe BDIF but not broken... Magmortar? Nah... i don't think so. Wailord have too much HP but need many TeCHs to work (Rayquaza d, Cresselia Lv.X, Xatu and Claydol, WP). Wailord is fun and have mach HP, attak is not good but with Cresselia Lv.X it is good enough, attack cost isn't a problem after set up. It can be good deck but cards like Pachi and Gallade makes it hard to use...

That's exactly the problem with wailord. He has huge HP but look at the techs in this format. Cresslia X, claydol(Huge tech in most decks) and pretty much every other tech has a power. Psychic Lock really does a number on it. Sure you can recover alittle bit of HP but if your locked and do 50 to a gardy, you have to hope to wake up to attack next turn because Xatu can't help, and if you do then you can't heal that 10 damage off of you with your body. The deck is nice and wailord is a monster. but with psychic lock running rampant you need a deck that can rely more on pure attack or early powers than on powers throughout the game. Magmortar is one of those cards that can function well on its on without much help from anything else. That's why he thrives in the environment. Unless you get an early xatu and keep them asleep theres not going to be much you can really do to hurt the deck.

If you call Sandstorm Dusclops Broken then you are crazy. I could do the same thing with Gengar Dp + Cacturne Pk + Sidney's stadium for 1 flip.

yeah...the reason why john said ROFL is because i actually did that to him. twice. I used judgement against his baby pokemon. heads on baby rule, then two heads for the KO. 30 damage on judgement twice...man that was hilarious.

Wailord isn't broken and after round 2 it won't be at the top tables.

Problem solved, thread ended, good bye and good day. Nothing to see here, at all.

I played Wailord vs Magmortar and I lost yesterday. I had a Wailmer start( i have Pachirisu/Corsola as starter). I think snipers like Empoleon,Blaziken,Magmortar etc. are a big problem, because they snipe your techs. Furthermore if they have Blastoise d CG or Holon FF, you will lose.

I won Empoleon/Medicham, sniping my bench? Cresselia says that my opponent have to hit 3 times to take down 80 HP guy...

Ok i didn´t have a cress in play. But magmortar OHKO your cress, claydol and xatu. Wailord cant kill Magmortar, if magmortar has a holon ff.
