dang I wish you had apprentice lookinforwailordex. Those electric/grass decks mustve been sad if you beat them. You keep saying you win against them but youre not telling why you beat them.
it was easy i couldnt tell you the stragey i was doing becuase it would give it away but if you tell me how do get apprentice then maybe i could get it but the decks were people were good in my age group and do you have a magma/aqua deck?

SeptileEX kills this deck. It knocks wailord around like it's a rag doll. If BlaikenEX is banned( it's almost as bad as seasel!), then it will become a popular deck( the Septile).

Blaziken ex is better than sneasel, and as good as slowking if not better

PoKeY, you obviously haven't ever played in an unlimited tourney.

ure joking right...

ive won how many unlimited tourneys...1,2,3,4,5,6,7... 10, 20, oh wait a lost count after 25ish...

im not even talking about that...
im talking about the impact of slowking and sneasel in mf at their times... they were broken.
well blaze ex has just as big of an impact as well...

First off, Slowking was good on its own. Not Blaziken, who needs four energy to attack, because he's dependent on energy, which comes from Blaziken RS. Secondly, Blaziken is a stage two. It takes three cards to get there. Slowking takes up two. Yes one card makes a difference, especially in unlimited. Slowking was game breaking, Blaziken EX is not. It's only a compliment in BAR decks! If you could beat BAR decks before, why can't you beat them now?

Because it is a huge compliment to the already best deck. A lot of the best decks could not beat BAR before and the ones that did it wasn't easy. Most of these decks were so bad against Blazquaza they needed to tech Shard and Ditto. That won't work against Blaziken Ex! And Blaze ex ko's many attackers before they even get in the ring. That is why you can't beat them now.

Yeah I havent seen SceptileEX but I have seen SwampertEX and I have BlazikenEX and CradilyEX dogs I have seen Entei doesn't mach up to Blaziken though.I haven't battled a single BAR deck yet.I think it's reasonable in every way to ban it.

Ban it? No, let's wait and see how it does on the scene.

I feel BlazikenEX is much like the Arcanine/Beedrill of the past - great on paper, and struggles in reality.

It is WAY TOO early to hand Blaz EX the banned crown. Let it take the majority of states, and have nothing that can stand in its way. I personally feel that Suicune EX could give this trouble, but that is just me. That first attack by Suicune is way too severe.

Most BAR decks do not play enough switching, and that, I fear, may be their undoing in this envio.

Just my thoughts, in post 275.

Man, I cannot wait to play some challenge matches during my "free time" at states in Kentucky, Tennessee and Missouri!

Thanks

No M45, trust me, it's even better in reality than it looks on paper. Try playing against a well made one like Jermy's, it's almost imposible to beat unless you play a mirror. And they do play enough switching, like 2-3 warp points. Suicune ex isn't enough to beat it. To have Suicune work effectively, you'll need to start with it, and that means using like 3-4 of them. And if you don't start with it, it stinks cause Blaze ex can pick it off on the bench.

No we have to ban it now!If we don't for states probaly 80% is going to be playing it and people that don't have the cards to make it like me won't even make it to the top 4 or whatever. But I think we all agree it has to be banned some time and it should be banned before states.

Meganium- Chicago hasn't had any players of quality since Jason and Alex quit. They even said themselves their metagame was HORRIBLE. I am not too familar with the St Louis metagame, but this makes me iffy.

O.K. This is where I draw the LINE! Alex and Jason Quit because the could not keep up with the people who were (nipping) at their heels. I personally think that they were pushed out of the game. They were not willing to keep up anymore. Maybe they realized the new breed was hunting them. You of all people should know. When you are on the top Its a LONG way down. So why not leave on top? I played Alex and Jason several times. They ARE extremely (very understated) good players. Alex was the better of the two. He would not only beat you he would show you what you could have done differently. So yes, a teacher too! One thing that I hated about them was, they never played anything red face paint. They always played the archetypes.

NO METAGAME? have you ever been to Chicago to play? Especially recently? There are some Extremely talented players there. Sure not all of them are not on the same plateau as Alex and Jason, But we do have some that have EXCEEDED their level of play! Plus, we NEVER quit! Maybe, I need to write for pojo to get recognized too!

So, say what you must about Chicago. We will be the ones left when the dust settles.

P.S. quit bashing, you are much better than that!

OK, box, you still consider yourself from Chicago? You are now with the big dogs down in Texas.

You see, we are going to have set up a City v. City Challenge, where each city will have to pop up 6 players - at least one 10- and at least one 11-14, to go up against another city's big 6.

I know Florida tried this for unlimited, and I hope it worked. We had to back out as our base store went out of business.

I would love to have 6 players from St. Louis Challenge any other 6 player team...my trouble would be cutting to 6...

Psyduck, Swanton1717, BigPoppaBeatdown, NEWMAN, ZAK and Mike H., that would be a team of 6 I would put up against ANY 6 players from any region of the country. And that is without having to have myself play.

We would have to make it interesting, each side bring 3 sealed boxes of Dragon on, and the winning team leaves with 6, and the losing team leaves with 0, or some such arrangement.

Too bad we all live so far away, I would love to battle Chicago this way, or Kansas City, or Sedalia, or Memphis, or Nashville, or any other city within range, where there is a good shot in between us to meet.

I mean currently, we have a skewed rating system (2 10- St. Louis players in the top 40? 1 in the top 20?), that bonuses players for playing a LOT, and, needless to say, being successful.

All we can hold out is our pedigrees, and say, look what we have won! IL had 4 of their 6 CC medals ripped out of their state to Texas and Missouri. There are VERY FEW top ranked players from last year around, but love him or have him, one of the Big Men resides in St. Louis.

I think a lot will be decided in the Gym and Stadium Challenges. I look forward to it! I really hope I get to go to Texas, if a Stadium is there - that competition seems FIERCE!

Talk to you all soon!
