Sup everybody. Just so you know I'm Tony Vo aka(the amazin blazin azn 
). Anywho this is my first regionals tourney and report.
Hmm how should I begin.... well for the past few weeks before the big event with as much time I can spare between skool work and a new job I've devoted to pokemon and my friends dont really appreciate it that Im blowing them off to play poke :biggrin: Anywho I was contemplating on which deck should I run and after games on apprentice and reading reports of other regionals here on good ol' gym I chose to run blaze variant.
I spend the before fixing and changin my deck to be successful of course and make it my own and not the generic blaze that was either a good idea or not I kept thinkin to myself but I was kind of person who favors originality so I add cards to make my blaze a unique one yea originality w/ blaze lol. I get up early the next morning, my lil bros were awake since 7 ,man I have a tough time gettin up early now. Anyways since my mom had to take my car since she had to get her's fix my aunt was going to be the one to take me. Me, my two lil bros (turbo Blastoise & sceptile/venusaur) and my cuz(dragtrode).
So we get there at the Arlington Convention Center at around 10:20ish I believe. So first thing we do as we walk in is since the a store was set up next to the door is we check out what they got and long and behold they had a pidgeot for 2 bucks that my lil bro needed so we bought it. Then in less then 2 mins. My bro and cuz spend 40 bucks on emerald packs and pull RC, Cacturne ex, 2 BF'sAH and a couple of matrixes. I told them to wait for my box coming in but they never listen guess they're not planning to eat much at lunch.
Then we get situated at a table and get all stuff ready and look for Master Prof. Birch who, btw is the bomb and one of the few great things to happen to me this day. He was going to let my bros use the candies ,frontiers and scotts to finish their deck. We find him and again THANKS MP BIRCH for helping out my deck your such a cool playa :clap: . He comes through and helps out my lil bro's. So I find weldon(rokman) and sees whats up with him and looks like he's goin to enter the GBA tourney which he wins and pulls great stuff lol with my lil bro and sadly I gave my lil bros wrong info about the tourney and that hurts them. SORRY BRO.
Onwards I get my deck registered which btw took a long time if only people would help the people registering their decks by putting them in the same order as they're list to make it easier/faster. I got a kool machamp figure. So JJ(Shiloh Phoenix) finally gets to reg. late forgot y but is set to run his blaze.
Tourney:
I figured before hand that gardy's and Ludicargos were going to be huge and so behold it they were that was one thing I got right lol well in the 15+.
Round One: Me Vs AJ (Ludicargo)
OK I start out with a godly start w/ sparce and pidgeot and candy w/ blaze and and blaze ex to match in hand plus I go first. All he has is a slugma and a lotad to start. So I SAR of course and pull pidgey, torchic, and a torchic. He starts off my copycating and plays BF and atks w/ lotad. I however already had Ancient Tomb in hand so that didnt matter. I RC up pidgeot and play tomb quick search for a combusken a costly mistake Argh. and steven for 2 cards. His turn he plays another CCat and puts another BF on field evolves to lombre and pops my sparce. and puts down a slugma, spheal. AHH lol i shoulda saved stevens. OK my turn I topdeck my tomb and play it and quik search for another combusken and evolve my blaziken and pay TV reporter and drop ATM rock which will come back to haunt me.. I flash but fail but it wouldnt of matter. He evolves into ludicolo next
turn and ko's my sparce. I send out pidgeot. draw and attach to blaze and FS to blaze and evolve into BEX and sitche and firestream. he retreats and sends RC into walrein and cargo and and crush draw and energy and nearly kos my blaze ouch thank goodness for my tomb. We my turn I pulla torchic and RC into fs blaze. I f/s to bex and attach a boost pow his ludicolo and ko it. But misplay and he ko's bex and it goes downhill from there and I cant recover. That rock did come back to haunt me plus when he knocked out my stadium w/ cargo it was over.

Sidenote: Ouch I cant believe I lost w/ such a great start and his sub par one. Well If I can pull hands like that I won't make the same mistake. O BTW I dont get the names of any of the other players lol.
Round 2: Me Vs OK girl (tyranitar?????)
OK I am playin her after she got beat my lil bro so I had a lil heads up from what she was running. argh that knowledge would not help me out at all. Worst HAND EVER!!!!1 SPARCE, TOMB x1, STEVEN'S x2, SWITCH x1, RC x1 and Pidgeot. AHHHH She starts off w/ 2 larvitars and Im basically prayin for an energy or its gm turn 2. I draw a bloody warp point so I cant play steven's or at least what I though Man who knows what would happen it I play tomb and my Warp Point if I would of draw and energy. I lose again :nonono: We play again for fun and same result.

Sidenote: OK Im basically in panic mode holy crap If I lose won more Im gone AHHH!!!! BTW my lil Bro loses to the same guy this round lol.
Round 3: Me vs. Guy(gardy/dusclops)
OK Its time for my deck to step up if I want to have any chance to make it into the top 16. OK an ok start I guess sparce and energies and I go first but I need a drawing engine. I sar and pull pidgeot and 2 tochics and hope for a drawing engine. Well not good. I dont draw a drawing engine and have all these energies. and I sar a gain to lower burn my deck down for torchics. Well No luck no evos and now drawing engines in sight and he has a fully powered clops ex and gardy EX I scoop.

Sidenote: AHHH!!! Im basically in crazy psychopath mode. 0-3 AHHHH!! Why couldnt the hands from the other 2 games switch.
Lunch:
Well Lunch was ok food overly price but I expected as much its like that at all venues. anyways Im pretty bitter looks like Im not getting trips now and I just want to break even at .500 and use this as an experience to for gym challenge. Well I did meet 2 kool guys who I traded w/ that helped me complete some stuff from wotc. Well there's some good out of this.
Round4: Me vs guy(moltres???)
I got to win this one I was thinkin. The guy I was playing was also 0-3 and I didnt want to be the one to go down 0-4. I draw a lone torchic and he mulligans 2 times and I sill pull nothing but energies. This is not good. He has a moltre active. Uh-oh if I dont pull a poke in 2 turns Im toast. I hate going first cant draw or play supporters AHH. well I dont pull a poke and he incinerates my poor torchic w/ Moltres.
Sidenote:OK this has got to be the worst month for me to play anything competitively in card games poke/ygo. AHHH!!! Its my B-Day month too you would think I would get lady luck on my side. But instead she gives me backhands to my face and not too mention a spanking. Well I did get s a constellation in this round I was able to win a door prize. Yea I won a pokemon frame. If only that meant wins in the tourney.
Round 5: Me vs. guy(tyranitar)
OK I was talking to weldon and JJ and they were telling me to drop now which I was really contemplating but I didnt want to I wanted at least one win. So here it goes. Uh-oh AHHH I draw and mulligan twice and when I do draw All I got were 2 pidgey's and a pigdeot w/ no NRG's in sight w/ only stevens and tomb. AHH Im gonna lose again. ?!?!?!?!. Well this time at least lady luck came through for me he RC pidgeot and tyranitar and grindin w/ R NRG for 40. I had R-lock in hand and I was like plz let me get a candy. So I play my stevens for 2 card and lon behold I pull an NRG and a RC. totally koo. RC pidgoet and QS for a sparce. and rock him. But sadly that just a bit cuz he has huge hand and im down to 2 card and he get a pupitar and rocks me back and playin CC so he bring his hand down to 2. AHHH!!!. not good. well I draw a switch and stich pidgey for sparce and pull 3 torchics. Luckily since he's down on resources and w/ no Nrgs and ends I pull RC and get bex out and its game. My First VICTORY!!!
Sidenote: Well I may have won one but Im still last on the standings. :frown:
Round 6: Me vs gardy.
OK not a good day for me guess winning one distorted my judgement cuz I play like a novice instead of gettin a sparce and builind a bench I pull a combusken against his gardy not good since he help 2 boost in hand turn 2 game over.

--The experience- Well Im really am glad I lost as badly well did poorly as I did. Now I know whats wrong with my deck and what decks work and what doesn't. Its better it happens now than later. Rest assured like moltres I will rise from the ashes and come back to win. you playas out there can bank on that.

Well REgionals was such a great event and its good to see the all the pokeplaya out there. to see all the players, TO's, judges continue the pokemon tradition. Congrats to all who won the respective divisions or did well at the event.
