I was playing Flygon/Gardy. Its very similar to Florida.dec (flygon with tech), but has Gardevoir ex d for metanite and metalix.
So I get up and go there. I got only 4 and half hours of sleep which sucked (although I know some of you probably got less). I give Broly and Backwards and my Dad some cards that they need, borrow a Gardevoir, and turn in my list. I already know Broly is playing metanite, and that backwards is using Flariados, but am excited to find out that EVERYONE is using Metanite. (YES!) Anyway:
Round 1 Ernie M. (Venusaur/Swalot)
He starts a bulbasuar. I just retreat my trapinch to dd and then beat him with a setup while he wallows in his own filth.

Round 2 Brent M. (Metanite)
He starts with Castform and I start with Trapinch. I retreat to castform and we both dd for a while as he tries to get energy in play and I just try to get a solid bench. He eventually ko's my castform with metagross and so I put up Gardevoir, imprison his dragonite and ko. He puts up beldum or something and I imprison his benched metagross d before retreating to flygon d and koing. He puts up a Dragonair with 3 energy and evos to Dragonite ex and attaches a Castform to it, but he BENCHES A LUGIA while I have mew* on the bench. I Briney my flygon d and elemental blast his Dragonite ex. He puts up Dragonite d and agilities. I just swift through agility twice ftw with Flygon d.

Lunch Break. Someone is selling burgers so I have one of those. DQ also supplies us with ice creams sandwich things. Spencer Barth put ketchup on his because I told him to. (I think it tasted worse than he expected) Anyway I get really cold and stuff.
Round 3 Mike M./Backwards (Flariados)
He starts a Spinarak and draws eevee off my mulligan. I get castform and trapinch but no supporters. I delta draw 1. He Flareon + reactive poisons me. I put up Trapinch, evo to Vibrava and do 40. He lays Flareon and reactive poisons ftw. =/ Donked turn 3.

At the start of round 4 the TO gives out a whole bunch of free stuff I get some "white trash" styrofoam cups.
Round 4. Brendan N. (Metanite)
I get paired up in this round. I'm a little bit nervous, because I feel I have to win this matchup to make the top cut. My setup is fine except I don't really have energy. He forces me into a position where I have to put up Flygon d, which has all my energy in play attached, while he has Latios* on the bench with 2 Lightning on the bench =/ So I ko something with Flygon d hoping to get my prized fearow, but miss that. He however, doesn't have the Castform for his Latios and just puts up dragonite d I think. I 2HKO it with flygon d, drawing a mentor to get voltorb and castform for my Gardevoir on the bench. He takes forever to draw into the castform, so just sacs things while I build up my bench. I win because He couldn't get the castform.

Round 5 Ted (Charizard d/Mantine/Fearow)
I got paired down which really worried me as far as tiebreaker goes, though I've had the best tiebreak thus far. I had heard what this guy was playing and thought about my gameplan while I waited for him to get to the table. I realize that Charizard doesn't ohko my Flygon d's due to Lightning resistance, and realize it has water weakness, so I can even ohko with Mew*. Anyway, he gets a Castform start while I get 2 ralts with trans in hand. I go first and pass. He mentors for 2 mantine and charmander (non-delta!?!?) I mentor for stuff; find fearow is prized. I take forever to draw into evolutions after making a poor decision to discard researcher with researcher, but he's just delta drawing for 3 after he mentors again and sets up a fearow. He stumps me at some point and I just discard my two ralts. We both dd 3 for over 12 minutes before I finally get the cards I need. I don't want to make the first move on his Castform because my bench is just Mew*, Flygon d and Chimecho, so If he gets the first attack on my flygon with Charizard I won't be able to ko it before He ko's me. He eventually evolves to charizard and makes the first move koing my castform. He play a meteor falls and I finally realize why he has the fire castform - it has flail. So I respond with 60 with my flygon and start setting up. He does 30 with flail. I ko. I puts up a second Charizard and ko's me due to the 30 from flail. I respond with Mew* and ohko him. He puts up Latios* with no energy and just passes. I put up Ray ex d and take out 2 mantine while he farmers stuff back and tries to recover. I pick up another prize somewhere, and he ko's me with Charizard d while I have just one prize left with a Mew* on the bench, Castform and d rainbow attached, latios* on his bench. =/=/ I mimic latios* for 300 damage and the win.

So I'm pretty calm going into this game since I pretty much know I have the autowin. I actually hate this but I was already thinking about the next match, which I assumed would be Mike with Flariados. =/
Game1:
I start a Castform, but no mentor. I adventurer for 3 trying to hit something, but just get a spearow. He ko's my castform with dragonair a couple turns later and I concede.

Again, I get a Castform start, again without mentor, however this time I have rayquaza and a researcher in addition to my adventurer. I opt to go second and he starts with Dratini. I research a trapinch, having candy flygon d in hand. I proceed to get a transceiver while he mentors, but I think ends up with a hand of like one. I start koing with Flygon I think and he concedes.

I get a mentor this time, while he gets a dratini start, no mentor. I put up ray ex d and ko his beldum and then his lugia. He never draws mentor after like 8 turns and concedes.

Finals vs Mike M. (Flariados)
Well, this time I'm hope we have REAL matches. ;x
Game 1:
I start a Trapnich against him, the psychic one I think. I have a pretty bad hand but am able to ko his araidos the next turn with a Vibrava for 60. He can't ko it back with his 4 card hand, and so puts up umbreon I think and does 20 to fearow which he gusts. He attacks that twice, but I draw switch and switch to vibrava. I consider confusing it but decide to evolve to flygon ex and start on his 3 benched basics with sand damage. He however flareons me, and I fail to attack through confusion. My flygon ex dies to his ariados after he scoops his umbreon. My bench is something like fearow d, trapinch, chimecho. I put up trapinch, draw grass and fearow my second vibrava to bite for the ko. I think he puts up umbreon again and just does 20 to my vibrava. I get a castform as my prize from ariados, so I delta sign for flygon d and do 60 to his umbreon. he Flareons me and does 20 with umbreon. I delta sign ray ex d, and try to retreat to it, but he points out that I can't retreat, and so I just attach a d rainbow to it and try my luck at confusion again. This time I succeed and ko his umbreon, putting prizes at 2-4 in my favor. He puts up ariados and ko's my flygon. I put Ray ex d up and do 50 to his benched Flareon that had 10 on it. I win the game if he can't scoop it unless he has a flareon in hand which he doesn't, two are on the field. He succeeds on the scoop though, and lays the flareon back down on an eevee and reactive poisons. He also espeon's my fearow for the ko on spearow, putting us at 2 prizes each. He complains about not having a full flame, which would win him the game if I got tails. I got tails. I retreated to Mew* though and attached a d rainbow to it, spider trapping the flareon he just layed down. If he gets heads on the sleep check and has an energy, he can retreat back to flareon and spider trap my ray ex d, putting it at 100, meaning I would lose the game If I failed the sleep check, or if his flareon woke up again and he had another energy to retreat. However, he doesn't wake up and just attaches grass to flareon. I attach another energy and heat tackle flareon for 140 and the game.
Honestly, that was the most intense game I have played in so long. It was such a rollercoaster of a game, going back and forth.

There's about 25 minutes left after we set up for game 2. I start with Castform this time, with ralts and ray ex d, as well as a mentor in hand, so I'm really excited to get a 5 card delta draw on my first turn. He goes first though and gets heads with spinarak. =( I have switch in my hand though, and so I'm tempted to waste my switch early and get another castform so I can delta draw 4. I do it. Fearow ends up being prized this game, but that's ok, as I'm able to delta draw a bunch. I get researcher + candy and get flygon ex on my bench and start charging it up. He spider traps it though and I regret candying right to it. I wake up from sleep and ko his ariados, but he puts up eevee, evos to flareon and does 70 to me. I try to attack through confusion but fail, and he ko's me with the 30 attack. I put up flygon d and swift for 60. He confuses + burns me with another flareon and ko's. I put up mew* and ko him with his 30 attack (realizing that I could have put up ray ex d instead becuase I was behind on prizes, this would have been the better play) He plays a bunch of stuff, but then just concedes the game, deciding he can't win.

. Turn three I need to top deck 1/7 grass or 1/2 Magneton's. I missed the top deck, I play Mary's for three revealing the cards one by one hitting a PETM, Battle Frontiere and a Grass energy for the donk.
