I LOVE RYAN VERGEL!

It all started on like Tuesday... Ryan V. (ryanvergel) asks me if I want to playtest for this weekend. I'm like sure. We play, QueenD vs. LunaSol, I lost 0-2. I was so depressed, cause I planned on using QueenD this weekend.

On Friday, Chris B. (Krayzie) picks Patrick K. (Dark Sneasel) and me up to go to Pat's grandmas house for the night. We start play testing and QueenD is doing horrible for me once again, losing to Liability and DragTrode. So then I was like 'OMG!, lemme call Ryan and get his LunaSol list so I can play it tomorrow!' He gives me the list I build it and...I lose to Liability 1-6. Yep, I'm really depressed.

Saturday, I don't really remembered what happened in the morning...So on to the tourney!

Round 1 vs Dave C. (The Gorn) - 4 Corners
He gets a Dark Hypno out quick, which is devastating, doing 100 to my Lunatone :(. I eventually get 60 on it, he retreats for Lanturn DRE KO another Lunatone, ugh. I got another Lunatone out OHKO'd Lanturn. He brings Chinchou up, attacks. I retreat bring up Solrock, do 20 to Dark Hypno on bench. Then it went all down hill from there. gg Dave.

Round 2 vs Colton M. - LBS
Yum, I have NOT tested against any major archetypes that I knew was going to be at Kissimmee today. So I ask Ryan 'What do I do?', he says 'Just win'...thanks Ryan, thanks.

Yea I get t1 LunaSol lockdown, he Makes a Wish for Porygon2....=|. I'm trying to get heads on ER2 and Reversal flips to try to KO the Steelix on bench, but I can't get heads to save my life. He gets a Steven's for 6, which saved him the game. He got everything he needed. I lost :(.

Round 3 vs Alexander ? - Flariados w/Weezing tech?
He starts with Koffing, so I'm thinking 'Ugh, Liability', turns out its Flariados. LunaSol apparently has a very hard time beating it, but with my opponent making some game-changing misplays and me getting key Cursed Stones, I win! :)

Round 4 vs Aaron ? - Typhlosion
He starts with Cyndaquil I get Lunatone. I go second. He attaches flips to Paralyze tails. Draw, attach Foresight, put Warp Point on top if he trys to paralyze me. He attaches and does that other attack. I draw attach to Lunatone, Transciever, Mentor and OHKO for t2 win!

At this point I HAVE to win if I want to make top cut, although my only loss was to Colton who was 4-0 at that time, my resistance was still crap :(

Round 5 vs Patrick K. (Dark Sneasel) - Liability
So I'm like yay, the one deck that I hate playing against, the one deck I went 1-6 against last night, the one deck that plays SMOGON!

I forget who goes first. But he gets a slow start while I'm doing nothing to his Weezing cuase guess what I CAN'T GET ENERGY! :D I eventually get some energys KO some stuff, but by the time I do that he has like 2 Typhlosions out :(. This game took forever. Needless to say, I won on time.

Yea, we tested on Tuesday and found out LunaSol beats QueenD consistantly. Ryan was a little sad, but happy that I might acutally win the whole thing. We hug then sit down and play.

Game 1
omg best game ever. I KO a Queen, he brings up something. I forget what happens but he eventually buys himself like 10 turns with Pidgey! it was insane. I topdeck my Warp Point do that KO whatever he brought up. He Toxics me, I do 60. He Kos. I bring up another Luntone to do 60 for the KO. I win. awesome game Ryan.

I start with Lunatone, he's going first. He starts with Pidgey, corners. I attach Holon FF, mentor, gets Solrocks, Greatball for the 4th Solrock. Foresight NO ENERGY, I put Admin on top. He Corners again. I draw Admin top card Fighting. gg Ryan iluforeverandalways <3

TOP 4 vs Chris F. - Mynx
omgomgomg, I have NEVER EVER played against Mynx.I knew what it did though. I ask Ryan he says 'Solrock ftw'...thanks again Ryan.

Game 1
He starts with Jynx I start with Lunatone. Fast forward he's winning. I Farmer back Lunatones and energy, almost about to deck...but he's about to deck. I forgot how I won this match, either he decked or I ko'd a Mew ex.

He starts with Magnemite. I ko it t2. He brings up Jynx and does his attack thingy. I have to keep switching a around. I KO a Mew ex soon adn his Jynx as well. Then he brings up another Mew ex, I do 50 to it. he retreats does Jynx attack, burns. I Warp point for Solrock Retriever 3 Lunatone back to deck, Mentor for them play them 40 to Mew ex, for my last 2 prizes. gg Chris.

lawl, when the tourney started he was looking for card and no one would let him borrow any for his other deck. So he ended up playing a deck he didn't even want to play and he still made top2. ;x

Game 1
I get an awesome start, he doesn't get a hot one. :( I get Solrock, attach Call For Family. He has Pidgey and Nidoran out. He can't Quick Search or anything so he can't really do anything, while I'm KOing everything. I win.

We start I mentor for the Solrocks and look 1 is prized! if it wasn't I would've been able to 2HKO his Queen and might've won the game. gg

Game 3
I start, Solrock, CFF Lunatone. Then I retreat attach Foresight. I get Stones out killing his birds, I nail a Reversal to get Feebas to KO it. I get all 3 of my Holon FF out. I won. gg

I WON!, just turning 15 three months ago and I won my first 15+, no my first tourney ever. ;x

GJ! You are not a sorry player lmao! You are going to worlds and you deserved it! It was fun seeing everybody yesterday and staying for the finals I had a REAL fun time.

I was going to use Lunasoul too, but I tested the Flariados matchup, and I wasn't comfortable with it... I wanted to use a deck with at least a 65/35 against it, and the flariados matchup was just way too flippy- so I didn't use it.

Was Flariados even played? Heck naw. GGME

Congratulations Omar, hopefully I can sack this weekend.

Here's how our game 1 went:
You KO my queen, who I was using to stall with. I great ball'd for a Drowsee, a turn earlier, attach a grass to it. You KO the queen. I bring up Drowsee, attach a Holon's Magneton, Celio's for a Dark Hypno. You have 4 benched pokemon, no energy root- perfect, 80damage to lunatone- KO. You bring up a lunatone, hit for 60. I repeat. You reversal up my pidgey(bad move!) and bring a solrock active to stall for a turn(you were out of energy). I go, CORNER! At this point I wasn't drawing anything, I wanted to corner and buy me some time to get more evolutions in play(enough to do 80 with my queens) but I wasn't getting any draw or energy, so you warp point me, and I can either bring my other Pidgeotto up, and I think you do 30 to it(because of resistance). I evolve to Pidgeot D and sit for a turn(no energy) and you do 60 with a Holon FF. I retreat for a Pidgeot RG and try to clutch you, but you do 60.

It's now my turn. I have two prizes left. I have a benched energyless queen, an active Pidgeot RG with a Holon's Magneton/DRE and 60 damage, and a benched Pidgeot D with 90 damage on it. You had 1 card left in your deck. If I retreat for queen, you can snipe with a solrock to my Pidgeot D for 10 damage-get your last prize. If I bring up Pidgeot D- you can attack me and KO me. If I leave Pidgeot RG- you can snipe my Pidgeot D with solrock for the win.

I KO you, you draw your last card in your deck, you now have two cards in hand, bring up a solrock with a Psychic, snipe Pidgeot D to win.

Gratz Omar, awesome playing :)

Omar's smexy hair completely confused and charmed his opponent in top2 and penguinmaster wrote this Haiku for him. The first part was during game 1, the 2nd part was after Omar's hair attacked Jim for the win.
