According to my friends, he said GS ball is used to catch Celebi. Remember, Celebi can time travel.

If you use a Masterball to catch Celebi, Celebi can escape by time travel. I think GS ball has a powerful lock to stop Celebi from running away once it entered the ball.

An event in Japan with the cell phone tower was revealed for Crystal only, allowing you to aqquire the G/S Ball after beating the gyms/elite 4. You take the G/S Ball to Kurt, who ask you to leave it with him to examine. The next day, "something strange" is accuring in the Ilex Forrest. He gives you the G/S Ball back, you place it in the Shrine, and a Celebi floats down to battle you, its at level 30... Catch it or not, the G/S Ball is gone, and not actually used to catch Celebi, just to get him to appear


Also, with Game Shark, you can have it tell your game to give you the G/S Ball in the English version of Crystal (all the programing is there except for an entrance to the Phone Tower and aqquiring the G/S ball), Once you Shark it, the rest of the events work normally.....

GS ball, for what I hear from my friends on celebi.net the GS ball is so post to hold celebi but I don't very know. but I know Celebi not be in the GS ball because of Colosseum she in that Itex Forest. Other thing is that it was just make for Ash so he could go to the Orange Archiplagoand Joto.
